Estimations are it will take ~120h if you are grouping try hard to get to max level 300 paragon. For casuals playing solo, expect 200h+.
Leveling just got a lot longer. Will this stick in a seasonal format? Congrats to the āforever paragonā crowd for at least getting a compromise on what they want.
Neither 120 or 200 hours is anywhere close to forever.
Sounds quite nice. Closer to how it was in vanilla D4. Or D2.
While D3s system was a disaster. That was more like 20000 hours?
Sadly the reality is, give it six months, and you will get to max paragon in 5 hours.
I think the Steam numbers are quite revealing on what people actually want in terms of leveling. D4 vanilla was a pain.
Absolutely it will. Majority of players now barely reach 100 to begin with if they even hit it. Iāve no doubt with all the changes you wonāt see the majority sporting 200+ paragon either, let alone 300. Let the grinders grind if they want to, Iāll more then likely be in another game after I get bored grinding in D4. Just as Iāve always done.

I sure never bothered to reach lvl 99 in D2 before I started another character instead.
It just left some grind for the people who wanted it.

so are they going d3 style and lets say you get to 250 paragon in s6 so does s7 start at 250 and you grind out 25 more and s8 stat you at 275 paragon?
alsoā¦ where are all the bonus paragons for the lilith statues!!! they just vanish? I know a handful of people that still havent found all the altars yet. So this new method rewards their lazyness for not finding them if they get the same as me that did find them (granted i like most people used some site with all the locations to find them so im not saying its a huge deal) but its still a slight deal

Well, an exception to that rule would be Renown.
From what it sounds like, getting to 200 is about the same has hitting level 100 now, but after that the XP levels start to skyrocket and keeps scaling exponentially.

I think if i loaded up d3 today and checked my non-seasonal character, i probably have 2800-29xx paragons to assign

i thought once you get to 60 in the ptr you get 201 paragons unlocked right away. So he has 201+167= 368 paragons?!?
No, he has somehow started from scratch, even for the Paragon levels. Honestly, they should have forced everyone to start at zero paragon for proper testing on leveling.
We get boosting tomorrow anyway.
Iām fine with this. The board limit means I can quickly get to the glyphs and/or legendary nodes I want, then spend the rest of my time slowly filling out the board with nice-to-haves
Seems like a good compromise.
Iām not completely against it. But if 300 paragon ends up being a requirement to feel powerful i think most players will be against it and will prefer the system of Season 5.
No. Weāll start a season with no paragon (unless we have a renown bonus presumably). Any paragon levels we earn will carry over to alts created in the same season. So if youāve unlocked 201 paragon, then your alt will get 201 paragon points at level 60.

Yes, but this is the PTR realm with your seasonal and eternal characters. So how did he get to start at 0 paragon levels?
Idkā¦ do your existing characters in PTR have their 225 paragon points? Have you leveled a new character to 60 to see their paragon status?
Maybe they havenāt enabled the paragon sharing for PTR. Iām a console player, so I donāt have access. Go check for me
You start at 200 paragon levels and a level50 character with the snapshot from seasonal characters.
Just tested with a HC character and started at 0 paragon levels. So Paragon is shared across Softcore realm only when thats the only thing ive played. Its possible he just deleted the characters with Paragon levels.
