Here is a little video I made of my barb who has 1000+ thorns damage soloing the first part of Anica’s Claim. This is just to showcase how absolutely brokenly strong Barbs are. It was the first dungeon I ran, I did get lucky with a shrine, but that just helps to show how busted it really is.
In this video you will notice my thorns AOE damage doesn 800-900 on average, 1500 with Rallying Cry, and 2k+ with Shrine. I can pump to 3k+ with shrine and Rallying Cry.

Honestly, the dmg isn’t even that out of range for being what your built into. your single target isn’t anything to write home about, and it’s still not very fast, and it requires you to be hit. I think its fine and good on you for making an offmeta build work. I hope it stays in game.

When the game is released you don’t have the time to (farm gear) nor the drop rate of legendaries will be the same as in the beta, and when that happens how much of that BS or show off people that say barb isn’t under power and go crazy farming stuff to prove their point while anyone should look at the class without any legendaries and look at the base
And barb as a base class is underpowered, and druid is even worse than him

Yes thorns made barb ok is it fun or interesting to stack thorns nope. Like why does a melee class only have aoe on spenders? Why do every single basic only hit one mob, if they actually did reasonable single target dps maybe but they do bad dps. Then you go look at sorc and its melee skill hits everything infront.

The thorns barb is definitely an interested take. The rogue does that damage naked though. Unlike the beta, the real game wont pause you at 35 to collect thorns gear.

I kid, I kid. It’s cool that you found something that works. However, I think the criticism is that compared to other classes, it’s just a weaker option, not that it’s weak altogether. Yes, in every class you will find things you can do that make it seem insane, but the core of Barb just isn’t as effective as the others with what we saw.

Barb has always been gear dependent… in general any melee class will be, especially ones that don’t have passive / auto regenerating resource.
Yeah I have my own issues with Barb for sure. I played it and just didn’t like how encounters worked. I tried to like it, but just couldn’t.
I feel ya, I wasn’t really feeling it myself but I did see how the power starts to go up, they definitely have potential we barely scratched the surface
Why stop at the base class. Maybe we should compare all of the classes naked. Or maybe you should stop giving suggestions because they are completely idiotic.
Stop showing OP builds you’re going to get them nerfed by Blizz… Everytime a fun build is popular is nerfed to the ground because “it wasn’t intended gameplay” by Blizz…

first of all, if you can’t have a decent/intelligent conversation so … despite your comment, I will still answer you, am not saying all classes should be the exact same power but all should be fun to play with at the base level.
Meh My double Hydra would slaughter all this much faster they also fireball aoe on kill for extra speed I don’t even bother to cast a core skill. Please no nerf it, blizz. lol Most fun I had in a while.
Congratulations? You’re fully kitted out barb can kill something as fast as my fresh 25 rogue with no legendaries

I wouldn’t say it was kitted out. It had just a mish mash of thorns gear I found on my necro with some stuff the barb had while leveling. Most of the thorns came from sockets and 3 upgraded pieces of equipment. I spent less than 2 hours farming gear for this guy.
The point is still there. Barbs and druids can’t compete with the other 3 classes without legendaries.
