Thank you for the feedback, Blueskies. Much appreciated.
I have 2 Workstations high end PCs one has a RTX 4090 and the other has an RTX 6000 Ada nvidia graphics card, and fyi: all my games look amazing and clear, except Diablo IV, and this has been the norm since launch. Even during night time game play, it is also too dark. I have no idea what the issue is and I tried mostly everything. All my drivers are up to date, etc. including my OS which is W10 Pro. None of my games, including all Blizzard games, have this problem except Diablo IV. Itās playable and all, but the clarity and visibility is bad. Both my 27 Inch Monitors have a 165Hz refresh rate so the issue is not on my end that I am aware of.
Hopefully, Blizzard support can give me some answers and provide some solutions. Iāll update this post if I find a solution to this UI screen issue with D4. Cheers! - JJ -
Sorry mate but I just looked at that screenshot you posted and there is literally nothing in it showing anything about too foggy/hazy except that it is the direction the artwork of the game is all about.
As for too dark, you can increase the brightness of the game to improve things so you can see better at night time.
And as others have suggested, maybe it is down to your video card.
And comparing other games to D4 with the atmosphere of the game is silly.
I could help you with this but given the photo you provided above, itās unclear to me whereās the issue.
Anyhow, the gameās black lvls are wrong in HDR. If you want to have a trouble free experience with accurate colours and gamma, just donāt use HDR(deactivate it in Windows) and your problem should be fixed. In any other case, you need to manually lower your monitor/TVās gamma points at 10 IRE and below.
Dude, Iām not mad at anyone, and definitely not mad for not getting the answers I need about this issue. Matter of fact, there have been some nice people on here offering suggestions and ideas on how to fix the issue, and to those people I am thankful. They actually do make the forums better.
However, the issue Iām mostly bothered by is the harassing and insulting Trolls on this forum making rude and offensive insults to me over my post for no good reason, which is beyond me as to why someone needs to get out of their way to be a harassing and insulting Troll on this forum, and that is why I am filing a formal harassment complaint.
This twisted, negative and offensive behavior attacking OPs on forums that have legit post is unacceptable and wrong. So there is nothing āchildishā about it, unless you are okay with such behavior than you are no better.
Not to mention, I am not the only one on this forum saying this either. Many Blizzard players / customers have experienced the same thing with certain individuals on this forum that constantly attack, insult and offend playersā legit post about issues with D4, and that is just wrong and I am done tolerating the BS harassing trolls on here.
I sincerely hope those harassing and insulting trolls on this forum are not Blizzard employees, because that would be a serious issue, and there would be serious legal consequences as well. I hope those harassing trolls on this forum are not Blizzard employees. That would not be good for Blizzard.
Either way, if you are bothered by this, then go LYAO, move on and ignore this unless youāre just another Troll on this forum. Thanks! - JJ -
Thank you for the feedback and info. I definitely donāt use HDR since it causes issues with on screen graphics in many ways. So itās definitely not HDR. Many players have complained about the same thing with the fog hazy UI screen during game play. I will wait to hear back from Blizzard support and see if they have any solutions or recommendations aside from what has been shared here.
PS - I reset all settings across the board to default settings twice on my PC and the game itself. But still the same issue, and during night time game play itās too dark and during the day - itās too foggy, hazy and not very clear. I been playing the game like this since it launched. Itās playable but not great.
I just want to know if there is anyway to make the game more clear. Every single game I play, including high end graphic demanding games, and Blizzard games, all look absolutely amazing and clear on my computer screen. The ONLY game I am having this issue with is Diablo IV, which has itās own laundry list of bugs, problems and issues to say the least. I just want to enjoy the rest of the season game play with better clarity and visibility, if I could.
I will continue playing D4 just to get the rewards for season 3 and make the best of my game play, so I figured I would look into how to make the UI screen and graphics look better, and so far itās not good, unfortunately. Hopefully, there will be a Blizzard fix to this issue or I will find a workaround. If I do, I will post it here for sure.
Thanks again for your feedback. Much appreciated. - JJ -
Is your UI hazy also? It is not in the screenshot.
I look at your picture and honestly at first glance I did not notice any issueā¦then I look close and it seems like the sharpness can be a bit off or hazy as you put it, but I canāt tell and the game has it on night time for me right now.
Does your night look like this?

or is it much darker?
If your UI is sharp and clear than this is just the art direction, or try messing with your shader quality setting, brightness, turn off any of the DLSS stuff just to see if you can get a crisp image (Resolution Scaling = none).
It looks like brightness and contrast are all sorts of screwed up. At least, thatās what mine looked like until I fiddled with the settings to fix it.
