I’m doing level 25 Tier Nightmare runs. I have no problem clearing the content. However, The enemies that spit out the continuous flame shots that home in on you destroy me and the minions, as if I am butter and those damage types are the knife. The same thing for poison. I am sure I am not alone in this happening. Further, I have run into some enemies that out of no where pull you across the screen into them and it is instant kill. Anyone else run into this situation?
Welcome to nm dungeons
The exploding enemies that also come paired with frozen enchanted and frost wall are a personal favourite of mine. It’s just lazy mechanics at this point.
What is freezing me? It’s a frozen enchanted vampire hitting me with its basic attack from off screen.
Welcome to Diablo 4 I guess.
Yeah, I think it is lazy design. If they gave the player more buffs to deal with all the added CC in NMDs maybe it would off set some it. But, I think reduction of the CC enemies do and the crazy buffs they get is far more needed. As is now, the game does not give you enough damage mitigation to deal with all the extra stuff. It also only has two classes I believe that have skills for endless unstoppable. Which shows how unbalanced classes are still.
Those freaking goblin sapper wannabe’s are annoying. >…<
As a sorc with 4 points in Glass cannon, its definitely annoying with most things. I can easily be 1 shot. But folks remember to manage your CC breakers. I got 2 for my build. ^.^"
But will agree some of these combinations need toned down. Especially the vampire affixes with imbolization. Remember doing a dungeon, got froze. my stuff was on cd for 2 seconds… vampire was 80% dead. next second it was 100% healthy again.
Yeah, sometimes the immob. lasts longer. I think one time I was immob. by a vampire for 5 seconds. It is really crazy. Whoever tested this crap and said “oh, that will work” needs to be fired, in my opinion.
Well i mean my CC breaker (teleport and flameshield) but either way. the fact they can regen that much hp in a second is nuts.
And not everything can be tested at once. i will say that. especially a vast amount of random generating effects. Sometimes values can definitely be nuts and not proper. This is where the complaints come in, and honestly. blizz is actually listening to a good bit of feedback.
Here’s to hoping. They broke necro minions and still have not fixed those and are just “observing the survivability of minions” now. I have lost a lot of faith in Blizzard, along with many people. But, maybe they will surprise me. The only CC mitigation the necro gets is if you use an aspect on a piece of armor. Said aspect has between a 20 - 40 second cool down. Thus, it is almost not worth using.
Yeah… didnt say for all feedback. lol.
Still sad on that minion crap. but eh.
My issue is that at some point you have to build for defense and CC break severely limiting your ability to do damage. Not only are they scaling monsters past your level, they also want you to beat them using less damage which also narrows build diversity at the top levels because some classes have skills that offer both.
More viability is not buffing an unused skill by 1-2%. It accomplished through giving other means to source the same thing or giving a massive damage difference for skipping those particular skills and aspects. As it stands now if you skip those things you deal less damage and have less survivability.
It’s either feast or famine. Oddly even the games best players using those builds still get caught by poor mechanics. There lots of HC deaths where a player get as caught in a now win situation. Get under the lightning dome which has a poison bubble, frost wall and a mortar inside of it and die or stay out of the bubble and die.
Yes, still many things need to be addressed. I agree that having to use the CC and defensive skills take away from damage. We shall see. The bubble thing is a crappy mechanic, as is the huge lifesteal they give enemies. There are a lot of adjustments that should be made to NMDs. But, I think they still need a lot of adjustments to gear items, player skill tree, paragons, etc.
