Hi all. I wanted to share the fix that worked for my system. I was getting game crashes within 10 minutes of playing. No matter what I setting I changed in game. The technical support of this forum offered no help and I figured I was not alone in the need to find a fix. I have an EVGA GeForce 2080 Super hydro copper video card which is water cooled and this solution worked for me. Here is what I did…
Open the Nvidia control panel, you can right click on the icon in the task bar of running programs to open this.
Click on ‘Manage 3d settings’ from the left side of the screen. This is under the 3d settings heading
Within the global settings tab in the main frame click on DSR -Factors. Uncheck all of these listed and choose 2.25 DL under DL scaling.
Close and try and run the game. From what I can gather, Dynamic Super Resolution will render the game at a higher resolution and then down scale it to your native resolution. If this is set too high, say 4.0, then your video cards will work way harder then they need to when rendering the game.
I was able to play up to level 20 after changing this one setting. It’s a shame the support on this page doesn’t help.
Good luck.
PS game devs, please add a timer on all boss areas so we know when the next world boss will spawn. If we window out of game to check D4 crashes. (known bug.) Take a look at Neverwinter. They did boss areas right!
