You are nerfing us to the ground to make the creep even slower but aren’t doing anything to the mobs. The length of stuns are insane in a game where there are so many.
I get you want us to spec into crowd control duration but then you also have 50 other things going on we also have to spec into. This isn’t about choices anymore, this is about poor design. I shouldn’t come across a mob that has cold, poison and vampiric that uses claw hands so every hit leaves a pool (I’m WT4 so it’s massive damage over time and instant), can freeze you in 1-2 hits leaving you stuck in the pool and also drain your health nonstop.
Every enemy has some sort of lengthy stun that is ruining the experience. Melee characters have to be close so how can a banshee boss type shoot ice that freezes on contact lol. If you are at range it’s 3-4 shots you can run around, up close it’s like a shotgun to the face. This is so silly, we HAVE to be up close for basic skills lol. Druid gets Trample Slide and that’s about it if you want to really pump out end game. So being close to proc Natures Fury is how YOU made it work. I shouldn’t be stunned, frozen, poisoned every 2 seconds because of your design.
I understand it has to be there and yes I have some CC resist there but it feels like it’s doing nothing.
Come on guys, I know it’s a new game but it’s not a new franchise. You’ve more than enough experience and now time to iron out some simple QoL issues here.

Frozen plus poison is their go to combination for some reason. I haven’t had as much issue with getting stun locked because I can generally move fast enough to avoid those. Also have boots with +3 dodge charges so that helps.
What bugs me the most is how long certain enemy effects like frost walls or poison puddle persist. The duration of those enemy effects needs to be reduced especially when they can persist 5 or 6 seconds past their death. I want to be able to loot and move on to the next mob, not wait around for the ice mist and green cloud to dissipate.

I don’t understand why there isn’t any variance or newness with any of the elites. Pools of poison, freezing, teleporting, lightning, walls, all of this has been done. I know summoning was one of them, which I thought was neat, but otherwise it’s kind of…uninspiring.
I fought a guy who froze me, had increased armor and was also vampiric in a stronghold. That single dude took my druid about 15m to beat because he kept freezing me and healing.
Getting into a crowd of elites is painful. Waiting to move because you are stunlocked and stuck in a pool of poison while electric orbs are all around only to get stunned IMMEDIATELY after you can move is…just…so…painful as a melee player.

D3 was always hitting me with mortar+freeze+retaliation every time I went into rifts with those tight little rat maze corridors. Everything explodes or freezes you. Death was unavoidable.
I’m starting to think the game is programmed to know which affinities are the toughest for each dungeon and assigns only from that list. Tight spaces frost and poison plus shock lance. Long corridors nightmare plus mortar plus waller.
Eventually we will know what to expect just by the dungeon layout. I’m almost sure of it.

Ya the icy enchant on fast attacking mobs needs to be addresses. At least with frozen and wind there is time to avoid them. The icy enchant especially for melee is way to effective at stun locking the player. Its not just from mobs though in pvp the same problem happens.

Was just talking to my son about how many stun locks are in the game - it’s really tough at times with the amount of CC that causes lose of character control. But I am starting to get used to it.

Blizzard if you are reading these comments , PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU /we are…it is absolutely HORRIBLE going through a t3 dungeon , and exactly like the post says here…stun-locked , into another stun-lock over, and over, and over I’m getting stun-locked buly these mins with huge hammers, it’s like their also have their own furry mode just to stun lock us.
It’s not so bad every now and then , but when an entire mob stun-locks you, then Into a f++++++ puddle of poison , while you have vampire guy sucking my health away threw my co++ , hammer guy behind me , bending me over and tossing me around like a ragdoll “all this happens in a single stun-lock instance”
Then, you have just enough time to pop a potion , then oh booooy , stun-locked AGAIN …can’t escape ?
Because I have 20 poison puddles slowing me down where I can’t walk away.
Started with 6 potions before entering the poison stun-lock rag doll mob , after finally defeating said mob…down to a single potion , if I’m not dead.
Please blizzard , fix this for us!!!

Played D4 since pre-release. First Necro then Barb.
Since Tier III dungeons I see only stun-locked situation and in fact I can’t progress and enjoy playing in general.
Thank you Blizz … 80euro per one week playtime.
Even together with disconnection with error 300008 worst game investment. RIP Diablo 4 for casual players like me.
I bought the game on PC. I thought things will get better by 50. I uninstalled the game after beating the final boss.
Stun locks ARE NOT FUN. This is a game for god’s sake, not just random challenge. It is good to make the game challenging. But it is not good to just provide a challenge at the cost of the game…
Whoever designed D4 has NOT played D2, and has a stun fetish.

Yea, stuns are def op. It so easy to get caught when a bunch of mobs come after you and like 1 or 2 of them can stun you. Once 1 of them gets you, it’s almost guaranteed to be death unless you get lucky. Whoever designed mob stuns seems to have forgotten that melee players exist.

The stun locks get far more common and dangerous in T3 and T4 - the only work around is the immunity aspect on the boots and find whatever immunity skill the class has and make sweet love to it.
I play a necro and for us that’s blood mist - any build has to have it for escape. I think it teleport or flame shield can’t remember for the Sorc, and the rogue has a few options, Barb’s its one of the shouts and it’s the rock shield for the Druid.
These are must talents and are not build / rpg / flexibility options.
Be aware of certain mobs too - the big axe goats, the large thug guys etc. if they are in packs plan accordingly for the inevitable stun even with skills used and aspect on.

There is that snake dungeon also, Shadowed Plunge. The big snakes have the charge attack that can stun but for good measure they like to throw in a frost wall, cold enchanted, nightmare combination of elites along with the eye that can also stun you.
Overall it’s an extremely tedious and frustrating dungeons that is not fun.
Playing as a Druid. Yes this hurts and I’ve had plenty of close deaths. But I also have plenty of ways to negate CC. I see no issues with it. Maybe other classes need a buff.
World Tier 3 isn’t fun at all due to this. Doing nightmare dungeons, half the time I’m stunned and waiting to actually play the game. I destroy mobs, but then one lucky stun and I’m sitting there just watching my health go down.
Especially when there are multiple enemies that stun, so it just happens one after the other. Not fun at all. Why is enemy stun so common in this game? It’s honestly a huge hindrance to the enjoyability of the game.

Druid has the advantage of being near perma unstoppable. But that means you have to build for it and sacrifice other areas.
It’s not CC that bothers me, it’s the overuse of CC and chain CC that can happen. Enemies have a period of CC immunity being affected by it, the player does not. Without unstoppable some
Enemy combinations will overlap a freeze/stun/root cycle endlessly. I’ve been caught in one for over 10 seconds before and managed to live somehow because I was stuck behind a post.
Even a one second immunity to dodge or pop a potion in case you get caught in a bad situation would be helpful.

Yea stuns are a cheap way to make the game more difficult. My new favorite one is the vampire that stuns you with red lightning for what feels like forever. I was doing a Nightmare dungeon and they would stun me while those annoying flies that shoot the small green poison flies destroy me because I can’t move. It’s great watching over 20 of the little guys come at me very slowly and all still manage to hit me before the stun is over.

I just had a special death in Aldurwood. Frozen enchanted Teleport werewolf and Frozen enchanted tusked charger both hit me from off screen. Instant freeze, instant death when exploding tusked charger arrived.
It’s to the point where no matter what affixes the dungeon has I pop a frozen resist potion because 60% is f the elites will have that affix anyway.

In my case, I have to use ground stomp to deal with anything that stuns. Although my stuns against mobs don’t seem to last as long against them as their stuns do on me. If my ground stomp is on cooldown, then I just have to keep moving until it’s available again. In many cases, it’s not worth trying to engage stun mobs straight up. Unless maybe if it’s 1 on 1 and I know I can survive if they stun me.

I find I don’t have the choice. Kill
The blood blister and 2 frozen guys pop out and one is a suppressor. I’m just spamming skills to not die sometimes. There’s no real strategy to it. Mash buttons, don’t die, repeat.
