Fix the rubber banding

It’s not the servers so much as the snooping they do - since all the duping incidents, they’ve probably got a lot of background checks going on, which is probably why there’s a pause before something drops. How many seconds does it take the server to decide that a mob will drop 1 cinder?

The real question is “are people still duping?”

but why is it someone else can log into B-net jump on D4 and there game is stutter free? and any one of my pcs?

Could be the specific Shard. Could be someone exploiting in your Shard or faulty coding making it perform poorly. Blood Lance was busted screwing with everyone even if you couldn’t even see the players. Dust Devils on PTR did the same. I am sure those are just the most obvious and certainly not the only instances of that cause and effect. Could be a whole host of things.

There are zillion reasons you can rubberband.

There are two types of lag:

Latency - Your network cant handle the game you are playing.
Graphics - Your system cant handle the game you are playing at the current settings.

Much of the time both of these will occur at the same time.

What can you do?

1] Verify your ISP is giving you the speed you are paying for at speedtest site.
2] If you do not have game on SSD then it will suffer. SSD is the minimum requirement now for all games.
3] Show what your ping is in game. Below 50 is great. 50 to 100 is good. Above 100 is bad.
4] See what your FPS is while idle in the game. Then see what your framerate is while active. If this changes that much then you may have graphics problem as with proper setup and card your FPS should not change much.
5] If your game lags and then catches up very fast then this is a ISP issue in most cases.
6] If your screen tears you may need vertical sync on.
7] IF all your games constantly lag all the time then its definitely a graphics card or processor issue. You can narrow this down with a cpu stress test. Verify everything is setup right in Bios.
8] Automate your driver updates with something like Geforce Experience so you dont forget.
9] Make sure your motherboard or processor or SSD drive does not have a critical update missing. I had a BIOS update on my SSD back awhile on old computer that removed all my lag in games. MY SSD had a software issue.
10] If you Cant figure it out get help. Lag is something that can usually be solved and in most cases is not the fault of the game company servers. Its almost always an ISP or Graphic card problem on your end.
11] Make sure your computer is not in a botnet. Monitor network activity. If its high while your comp should be offline you might have issue. Do a virus scan. All other times turn I turn off virus software as it could be causing lag. They are very processor intensive.

Im not a tech support person. This is just what I have learn overtime.

Thank you for the input and time you took typing all that out

I only get it when racing through the open world on a mount but not any other time, it has minimal impact on gameplay for me but can be annoying.
