I’ve bricked a few items. Doesn’t bug me that much. I’d be bored of the season by now if everything worked out perfectly on the first attempt. It’s a good system, could be tweaked a bit but good overall.

would be nice if at masterwork ranks 4, 8, and 12 items would fully or partially refund tempering attempts. Would make bricking items feel less permanent, involve putting time and resources into more chances, and still maintain the rng aspect Blizzard wants tempering to have
tried to temper on roque today this one with Dark Shroud damage… bricked 8 items. i got like 10 times in a row across 2 items smoke grande… Tempering is a joke and i will quit for now till the expansion.

It won’t get better in the expansion. Other than most recipes only having 3 affixes instead of 4 or more. Hopefully you didn’t pre-order.

Exactly. There needs to be some friction with oversimplified base items. Tempering is exciting when you land your rolls because of friction.
Just people who play arpgs who dont want rng and any system that doesnt have an I-win button.

One of their CMs said further changes were on the way. I suspect that they’ll probably make it better for the expansion’s launch.
