Please fix the maps or add a third level teleport in the pit. The amount of time i have to backtrack because i reach a dead end is unbelievable. The pit is for testing your level en player power. Not for wasting time with hoping you pick the right way…
Most maps are no more confusing than having a loop or two and one dead end. A few are, but not by much.
Stop skipping enemies and learn to take a few seconds to backtrack as needed.
You don’t need perfect efficiency. Pits would be even worse if they were a corridor with only elites in them.
if i would want dead ends i would go to nightmare dungeons. The point there is to find all the elites in order to obtain obducite. This is not the point of the pit.
They can be more diverse and fix this problem easily. They can add more maps, fix the lay/out by creating more teleports and remove the dead ends or let them lead somewhere albeit in a long way around.
I agree. This season i had to backtrack 1 single time as i was a little lazy.
I also feel like too many people are skipping non elites. Those do add up.
Are some maps more annoying than others? sure - but really, i rather have that then a corridor. Next step would be to just turn the Pit into a 2D sidescroller lol.
This would exacerbate your issue, not solve it, because if there were less dead ends but branching was preserved, you’d wind up with more intersections to “confuse” you. If there were teleports to avoid this, it wouldn’t matter which route you took, so there would be no reason to have multiple routes.
You want a corridor.
Not necessarily corridors - they are good but a wide open space like the desert map is good and sometimes even better.
I guess I’m too spoiled by D3 greater rift but I understand a lot of folks here hate d3 and everything that has to do with it.
I did like those better (and incidentally, I am not opposed to having more than 2 floors because that would allow those that want to rush to do so.)
Grifts were just more visually interesting, but also the monster combinations and the monsters themselves could be far more interesting and diverse, but I think that is an overall problem with D4 anyway, not just pits.
I mean, we can’t always have good maps… there will be some bad maps and we did have bad maps in d3 too, but in terms of map layout, mob density and smoothness of movement skills in general, I’d say D3’s bad map was still better than an average map in pit.
nah, i love opening doors and have enemies in certain places where my melee character can’t attack for some reason.
