Just do it already Blizz. Put a dent in the negative threads around here and throw us a solid.
-
Keep a helltide up somewhere, all the time.
-
Let cinders transfer from helltide to helltide.
-
Stop taking cinders if we die.
-
Make them more rewarding.
-
Put them on par with NMD exp/loot so we have at least ONE other activity.

I agree with everything except the last point. I think NMD should give better rewards at higher levels.

I don’t know much about the others, but a really good workaround the ‘losing cinders upon death’ is to not die

Sure, except taking cinders when you die.
They can do that if they add back the XP loss on death penalty from the older games though ^^;
Instead of losing them when we die, have them drop on the ground so can go at recollect them… Maybe before other can take them…

So it actually comes down to same stuff as D3. Push NM aka GR’s until your eyes bleed, but you cant even do that properly, because in order to complete NM,you need to kill 5 blisters, release 6 prisoners, destroy this or that’’
Helltides are not the endgame,i said that moment i saw blizzard announced they are on 75 minutes ‘‘cooldown’’
Lol. There’d be no dent in the negative threads because the negative threads aren’t motivated by the game. They’re motivated by whiners need for attention and hate for Blizzard.
Plenty of things have been done in patches as requested and people just look for new things to complain about.
How about you stop trying to leech in helltides too high level for you?

Don’t agree.
NMDs shouldn’t be the gold-standard.
Im ambivalent about the death-penalty.
But HTs could be up all the time - especially for random regions.
Helltides is boring beyond level 75
Great idea. I am so going to pull all the elites to everyone.

Maybe in season 5, 20 chars
Serious response here, I don’t think the problem is that Helltides are not rewarding enough, I think the problem is the loot itself is not rewarding enough. Drop rate is fine…there’s just nothing worthwhile to drop after a while.
Edit: I do also think they could increase density by another 1-2x.

Helltides need to give glyph exp if it wants to compete with NMD. This is the basic starting point.
Beyond that, maybe remove/resource cool-down in wt4.
The loss of cinder on death should stay, and it needs to be stay within the same hell tide. This is part of the thrill.
There also needs to be more bosses and increased drop rate to be on par with NMD.

I like doing HT as a break from NMD dungeons. Got my first Mendeln and Lidless Wall while farming/running between events during HT. So I still look at HT favorably.
I agree but still make them drop cinders if you die , this makes it more fun and dangerous which should be the whole point.
I’d like them to fix the rewards on Mystery chests, them costing 3x more cinders from release and rewards are still crap. 4x sacreds… come On…THEY should at least be all Ancestral in WT4.
Bruh. That’s one of the few bits of tension that exists in softcore.
Running out of time is one of the other bits.
Glad you aren’t a designer.

One of my biggest complaints about helltides is that the way there are designed, it’s not something you can just pop into when you have a bit of spare time. You have to scedule your playtime around it. Expiring cinders is a significant part of that. (The fact that they are up less than 50% of the time is the other.) Oh, the world boss is going to be up at the same time as the helltide? Makes the whole helltide feel worthless if I need to skip out for a bit for the boss.
I advise to stop making glass cannons builds.
Most of your negative game experience will magically disappear.

No fixing required, it’s already perfect as is.
