Im having a lot of fun with Firewall build (currently level 42), its really powerful and have a huge AoE… It will be really that bad late game? I should change the build after lvl 50?

Sorry bud but the firewall in Diablo 4 totally sucks compared to D2. In D2 my firewalls would totally melt the NPC’s and in this game it tickles them at most.

Take the constant whining here with a grain of salt.
Either something is the extra most bestest thing ever, or it is the worst thing that has ever happened in the universe. There is no middle ground.
If you keep to open world, Hell Tides, and low Nightmare Dungeons, it’s perfectly fine, depending on your build.

Should I change to a Blizzard or Ice Shards build after lvl 50? Or even a lightning build? You think it will be more rewarding? I dont want to play a build that is not good after a while… i like to feel strong 
You like to feel strong? Well then sounds like Bone Spear Necro is what you should’ve rolled. Night and day difference with any Sorc build and is viable from start to max level.
Might be worth a shot.

Then look up Min/Max builds and save gold to change it when the Meta changes.
I prefer to play with skills I enjoy using, changing things here and there while I learn what does and does not work.

Or simply reroll to rogue. At lvl 50-60 you can deal 100k-120k dmg already in t3 and t4
I’m the same way, and completely agree with you. I haven’t had many issues using firewall (plus fireball), and have gotten up to level 82 on my Sorcerer in S1.
Just some general refining here and there, but that goes with any build and is par for the course as you get more experience with certain skills. Nothing trumps your own personal experience as you progress.
Honestly, as people said, you can play what you want. But burning does fall off pretty hard in later content, outside of Hydra with the burn option, which scales hard with mob level, due to a bug. It straight up outclasses pretty much any other burn you can apply at higher levels.

I’m enjoying it at/around lvl. 57 (the variation with Frozen Orb (FO) - FO Enchantment & Aspect of Frozen Orbit etc.). I don’t know how far I’ll go with it, but at this point it’s fine. Things will probably change a bit after the patch such as switching over to Combustion etc.
