I really hate the desing decisions regarding sorcs in general. It feels like the devs either hate the class with a passion, or have no idea what direction the class should go towards.
Take firebolt sorc for example. Excluding the damage with some broken interactions, “normal” fire bolt is probably the most mechanically annoying thing to play amongst all the basic skill builds. Barb? Just bashes. Druid claw is the same. Didn’t play rogue much, but I belive it’s the same.
Sorc? Oh no, you first need to place firewall, THEN you need to shoot through it to get the benefit. You technically can place firewall under your feet and get the befefit that way, but if you move just a tiny little bit, you again gain no benefit. On top of that, firewall enchanment doesn’t work with ANY burning damage it seems, from my testing it only works with firewall burning damage (correct me if i’m wrong, only tested it with fire bolt burning damage and couldn’t trigger it), so every time you move, or the mob moves, or firewall expires, you gotta manually create another one. It’s very annoying to use. The gameplay consists of constantly spamming firewall, because mobs move all the time, and the damage is mediocre at best.
I belive it’s very unlikely they change that now or in the future, but moving forward I’d like to see sorcs receiving more love from the devs.

Blizz just hates this class. There’s a reason why Mekuna, the top firebolt firebolt sorc player quit the season - he said the build is just too clunky and isn’t fun at all to play.
Rogues? Just get to left click and auto attack with heartseeker.
Barbs? Just get to left click and auto attack with bash.
Druids? Just get to left click and auto attack with windhsear.
Necros? Don’t even need to click anything, just stand around.
Sorc? Okay first you gotta setup your firewall then position yourself just right - but the firewall has to be exactly in the spot where you’re going to hit the enemy with all 3 fireballs or it doesn’t work.
Also if the enemy moves at all then you need to reposition yourself and put a new firewall up - also the whole time you need to be spamming your infinite flameshield you need near absolute perfect gear and masterworking for.

Most player cast the firewall with macro, one button you evade, flameshield and firewall at the same time. If you worry that is against ToS, make sure to buy the macro supported mouse from Blizzard

Maybe Blizzard created the Flameweaver glove to boost the sales of their accessories department. I think in future the Blizzard Steelserios purchase will give players a chest with triple GA Flameweaver

well, i would say don’t get tricked by the flameweaver-split-3-bolts-when-shoot-through-firewall idea.
the damage from it even having +70% is still very low.
the flameweaver is good for attack speed(initial +16.5%), which can increased all the way to +23.x% even without hitting crits in masterworking. the speed is to synergize with fast casting basic skill, ie firebolt to add fire element to stack up the Tal Rasha ring and also fueling the Hectic Aspect to reduce cooldowns.
if you watch those Mekuna/Arccuied video, their main damage is from Teleport 500%x, Shatter(proc Fireball + Firewall), Frosty Strides, and even put Fireball into enchantment for 50% enemy explosion damage which will damage to other still alive enemys’ HP and Shatter that is still in effect.
seriously?!
wow, i hope my logitech mx master mouse is also having the option to do so.
so far only using M4 and M5 buttons dunno can do macro. LOL.
I am using Logitech G502 Hero, it is the most common macro mouse. If you don’t want to invest in macro game mouse, you can download the App called Autohotkey which can program macro via keyboards. I used that to auto drive cars in Forza Horizon to farm gold

The design is clunky enough as it is, but imagine playing Firebolt Sorc on a gamepad.
It is not humanly possible.
Love, your players who play Diablo on a gamepad.

The only thoughts I have about firebolt sorc is that I’ll never play that horrid build.
