Today I got to level 100 with this 5th Sorc, and completed a T100 for the first time with this Fireball build as well.
Gear, skills, Paragon at the end of the video. I think the biggest surprise to me is the boss damage is acceptable. I would expect it to go slow because Fireballs are notorious against bosses back in S1 and pre season. I guess things have changed in S2. Obviously it’s not on BL level but I think this is reasonable boss killing speed.
Ok, time to level a 6th one for a pure Conjuration build

-Super interested. I also have a bouncy fireball build this season and got Ring of Starless Skies so I threw that on her. Pretty much destroys EVERYTHING before the Ball sorcs can even get there. Boss fights are just SLIGHTLY longer than Ball sorc. What enchants are you using? I kept waiting for frost to come out but guessing you’re using flame bolt instead??
I am using Firebolt and Fireball. I did used Frozen Orb at one time to get 4 stacks of Tal Rasha, but I realized I can just kill mobs fast with Fireball enchant anyway.
It’s indeed slower against Ball Lightning against bosses, but we know how OP Ball Lightnings are. If we take out Ball Lightning as the main comparison, I think Fireballs are faster enough against bosses.
I feel Fireballs are faster at clearing mobs than Ball Lightning simply because the latter needs you to get close to the enemy. Bouncing Fireballs has long range.
I am still waiting for my Uber to drop from Duriel lol
