What’s wrong with Fireball in Infernal T7? I never payed attention much to Fireball since I was focused on Firewall but all the reports I heard it’s bad for single target and it’s bad for Infernal.
Just saw a video of someone doing T7. It looked good. Bossing against the council isn’t as OP as with LS/FO, Andy Rogue, or Landslide Druid but it gets the job done. But it ain’t tedious either.
Since I am done with my Firewall Sorc (also done with LS/FO, Andy Rogue, and Landslide Druid), I am thinking of trying Fireball as I got some good GA items to go with it.
But basically is that all hearsay that Fireball is bad in T7?
Don’t bring a machine gun when you can bring a heat seeking missile to the fight.
Bonus, if the team is all sorc, then one sorc running fireball enchantment buffs the entire team. And since at least one sorc presumably runs firebolt enchantment to burn the room, the additional sorc should defintely run FireBALL enchantment to further up the dps of the entire team.
Extra bonus: extra skill points into the skill for even more AOE damage for everyone.
You can spam bouncy balls in a circle and wipe the entire room. That’s about as hard as it gets. Also you do t kill as much off screen as you do with FO/LS. So I guess that makes it C tier by comparison
I don’t need a heat seeking missile. I already have 3 and working on a 4th.
So it’s all hearsay. Fireball is perfectly viable in T7. It’s just pale in comparison against LS/FO. I guess any other Sorc build does.
My purpose is mostly solo. I won’t worry if it’s group as the other members can carry me anyway. If I need to carry, I’ll bring my Andy Rogue or those other two I mentioned earlier but I prefer my Rogue
The video I saw is good enough for the T7 council. I know it’s trash against single target bosses. But in Infernal, since it’s mostly mobs, is it really that bad?
It’s not bad, just slower against tanky bosses with inflated HP pools. Still gets the job done but not nearly as efficiently. Same as with builds in other seasons, just swap the class and build name.
You will find this build and others just outside of S tier for a reason and that reason is because it is generally deficient in one or two areas and this season there are several deficient in the bossing category meaning you take 30 seconds to kill the council instead of 6.
For what it’s worth on my end Fireball is very satisfying to play. I will leave it at that.
