Fire Bolt Question

Does the initial hit of the skill dictate the burn damage or are the two calculated separately? This is not about the enchantment but the skill itself.

The roll of %weapon damage range determines the magnitude of the burn on fire bolt, so a harder hit means more burning damage - however, unless you have the upgrade for the skill that increases your burning damage after critically striking, critical strikes don’t matter, and that only adds a flat x25% on the burning damage you apply anyway.

Thank you very much.

a lot of people only use the enchant to make use of the glyph that says something like 10% more damage to burning enemies

that way i can be a cold build for example and still apply a burning effect and get a damage multiplier

They also use it for devouring blaze and some other burn related passives.

I hate to ask but I have one more question.

So if fire bolt does more damage to an enemy if you have “Damage to Burning Enemies” this stacks once right?

It technically lights them on fire as an operation before assigning damage, so yes, it will only apply one part of that damage to burning enemies as soon as you hit them. It’s a yes/no deal whether they’re burning, and if they are add the modifier.

Thank you very much, again.
