Finally Blizzard Learned from POE2 S8 Best EVER

I’m glad Diablo IV will not a weekend blast game , we are here alot of hardcore gamers and we care about this game , when you do everything to fast , there is no point to gear up

So the Boss Ladder and slow things there are things to do

They want to make legendaries also drop less cause they’re supposed to feel important. Or at least during leveling or some junk.

Yes i think will be one of the most popular season

While S8 might be one of the best seasons so far (honestly, it will not get anywhere close to S0, if that counts), it is not learning much. These changes are tiny. It is positive if they move in the right direction for the first time since patch 1.1, but a lot more is needed.

I want my golem to rock a gattling gun and say cool things personally.

It is a promising step, that’s what it is. But only the first of many I’d say

Indeed you did good sir.

We need to save that one for when someone likely do a T150 in 2 minutes a few weeks into the season.

They mentioned the same thing before VoH launched too. Thinking no one would reach 150, oh how wrong they were. So far the only time they were right was when they said it’s doubtful anyone would reach Pit 200. I don’t even remember how high people got, I want to say 170ish but may have been lower.

Agreed can’t wait to play season 8, One thing i would like them to add in the future is an endgame progression type system, whether its mapping atlas or whatever, something we can grind for months would be sick

The backtracking from “we’re not fixing/balancing the game mid-season because we respect players’ time” to “we’re fixing/balancing the game pretty aggressively during the season start” is pretty huge.

I bet they saw player numbers plummeting and decided some change was needed. But as you said, these are tiny changes. Almost a drop in the ocean. Combined with the changes in the bosses, they got me wanting to install the game again for next season.

Im actually happy to see them take this stance. Now mind you they should be fixing the issues in PTR.

Its definitely a different tone from the QA video. Time will tell tho.

If this was done on Season 5 and Season 6 we wouldnt have had the Spiritborn and Bloodwave situation. They would have been nerfed/fixed on the first week.

Oh well now its past and we look forward to the future

Making the codex even harder to fill out.

Great idea blizzard… really

Damnit i cant fill my codex in the first week. I need to play 2 more weeks! Bad Blizzard Bad Blizzard!!! Bad boys!! Bad BEHAVIOUR i will report…

I just hope they stick to that stance. They keep flip flopping back and forth. The only thing they seem committed to is doubling down on forced co-op content. Everything else is just a giant roller coaster ride so far.

The fun is when you have everything and are pushing pit tiers.

Not the grind to get it

Making the chore longer is indeed a bad thing, i could do other things on “just 2 more weeks”

The pacing of the early game is not the biggest problem here. Also just making it slower does not make it like POE2.

It will still be the same thing you see now, it will just take longer from 1-60. There will be no new mechanics for enemy types, you will just be weaker supposedly. While getting the balance between player class and environment is good…there is still a lot to fix. Let’s also wait to see it.

Exactly. When you spent 2 years flip flopping with contradictory design choices instead of having a point of reference, you end up going in circles.

As a result they have 0 credibility left, and rightly so.
