Final patch notes?

do you think we will get the final patch notes for s7 before its start?

Do you think it’s going to start tomorrow?

We’ll get a campfire/live stream roughly a week before it starts, followed by patch notes soon after. This is typically how they do things. I understand you may be new, so I’ll break it down for you.

  1. Major Patch + Season comes out.
  2. Hotfixes are present for about 2 maybe 3 weeks, then radio silence.
  3. Roughly a month later, Mid-Season Campfire discusses changes going into the mid-season patch.
  4. Radio silence for the rest of the season.
  5. Announcement of the announcement of the date of the next live stream/campfire update.
    • No this isn’t a joke, they’ll tweet something like, ‘Next week we’ll announce the date of the next campfire’
  6. Announcement is tweeted of the date of the next live stream/campfire.
  7. Live Stream/Campfire airs, patch notes soon follow.
  8. Rinse repeat.

Add in a random Mother’s Blessing event anytime between numbers 1 and 7, could even have 2 of these during the same season. Possibly a holiday event depending on the time of year.

Not really, no.
I got to play it extensively. The end-game is basically an extreme version of D4.

Do you like bricking items? Vaals will do that, with no second chances like Tempers.

Do you like dying? Because that other game doubly penalizes you by failing a map with a single death and handing you a massice XP penalty.

How about off screen one-shots? That game is full of them.

The campaign/main game is nice. All skills work to complete it. However, the post game takes nearly all frequent complaints about D4 and dials it up to 11.

Don’t get me wrong; there’s much to like about it. But the endgame? Not for me. If you enjoy a far more punishing and RNG filled world - it might be for you. I’ll be officially getting it at free launch, and playing it quite casually.

Same here. Won’t be touching POE2 until it’s out of EA. Never played the first one anyway… nothing has me wanting to try the 2nd one till it’s free.

My main gripe from my brief time with the skill slot arrangement and how it just added one to many (for my tastes) hurdles to deciding if a piece of gear was “good,” and I was psyched that they announced way back that they were changing it for POE 2.

Not psyched that the “crafting” did not get a similar pass. I didn’t progress far enough into the game to really interact with it, but what I’ve read of the new one is a complete turn off. I’ve no longer the patience or the time to deal with completely non-deterministic crafting. D4 is right on the borderline where I can accept it, at least for now.

Yes we always do

20202

So S7 starts january 21st, so the dev live and final patch notes should come one week prior, and the date anounced for that, another week before. So next week we should have info on the date of the dev live.
