Fights like Ashava don't belong in Diablo

And at least with Ashava you get some good stuff after.

D2 boss loot could be peanuts.

duriel despawned if you didn’t kill him fast enough?

You dont enjoy a mana potion, a small stipend (that doesn’t cover repair costs) and a blue that statted wrong for the class?

Nope, but again, Duriel wasn’t optional. Ashava 100% is.

Do you feel like GRifts were bad because they were timed? Do you feel like every GRift should be a gimme?

Do you have an official quote for that? Because i highly doubt this will be the case and makes very little sense considering solo-play. World Bosses are a sure way of getting legendaries and thats what makes them unique.

yes they do ! its fun and entertaining what a game is all about

I don’t mind the World Boss stuff and think it is cool to have for extra rewards. The live build will be much different. The problem is that they decided to only allow like 8 people in the fight and the boss is set to 25 while everyone is level 20 and most people aren’t even getting legendry items. The boss is also timed, so if your group doesn’t kill her within that time limit, you have to wait 3hrs to try again.

Since most groups have been reporting only getting her to like 70% or so, I feel like my time is being wasted on trying to obtain a reward that the Devs purposely made hard. I get that they want people to come on and stay playing, but that isn’t how you get people to keep playing.

You can go find another game to play fights like these, there are plenty out there. It ruins the diablo playstyle.

This… all of this lol. D2 launch duriel hurts to think about

I mean, come on man, who are you to say what can or cannot be in a Diablo game, a lot of people are enjoying the boss. It’s totally optional, don’t do it if you don’t like it.

Enjoy the aspects of the game you do like.

Grifts were terrible. And the timer was a big part of the problem.

World bosses are different though, seems fine that there is some limit on how much time you can spend on them.
However, maybe one alternative could be: Longer timer, but you “only” have maybe 3 lives on the boss. Graveyard zerging the bosses should not be doable. That is just stupid.
Seems like Blizzard understands that, as they added death limits to Nightmare Dungeons. Should be added for World bosses too.

That would be horrible for sure.
And if is is true, Blizzard would have lied, yet again, with their claim that the game is soloable.

12 people hitting a boss for a few minutes and collecting free gear

My dude, GRifts were what kept the game alive, and probably one of the most positively received additions to the franchise.

yeah I feel the same just trying to get the cosmetics for the mount I could care less what she drops lol, I spent all day yesterday gearing my toon for her just seems like they should either extend the time or lower her lvl to 20

This is what I think the Devs are going to do. Tomorrow, they will nerf the health by 30% to help those who been working on getting the reward.

So is replying to my post, yet you still do it

Nothing kept D3 alive. It is just a bad game. And so are the GRifts. Repetitive, boring speed trials.

If it has been 1 of 10 different, optional, endgame activities, that might have been fine. Otherwise not.

I wouldn’t be surprised, but that would destroy what little trust I have in Blizzard being able to handle D4. If they cave to unreasonale demands of making the game easier, for something as silly as an optional beta challenge.
How can we have any faith in their ability to balance the actual game properly, and not go down another endless power creep path, if they did such a thing.

They did mention that world bosses dropped a mat you needed for adding gems slots to gear during a live stream. Whether there are other places you can get them I don’t know.

I’m guessing not, as they likely want you to have reasons to do the different activities.

I can’t add a link. This quote is from an article on Icy-Veins. Diablo 4 Jeweler Guide.

“However, some items drop without any sockets. In such cases, players can visit the Jeweler to manually add a socket to the item, but this will require a Scattered Prism . These can be obtained by looting treasure Goblins or as a drop from World Bosses.”

I guess you can get the item from Treasure Goblins as well, but my gut tells me that World Bosses will be where you have the best chance of getting them.

I mean, so what (if anything) do you enjoy about the diablo franchise?
