I feel like its D4 launch all over again, with a different name. Actually comical.
May need a little more context here.
I think i left enough clues. IYKYK
Let’s hope the new launch doesn’t adjust the difficulty by as much as the old launch did. At least this time around we have as much stash space as we want.
Deff need more context, as if it’s like a D4 launch I would say that’s a negative.
And if I assume via the hint, than I do not agree with you.
Having a blast like I did when I was 15 playing D2 for the first time.
Edit: I do find you comical tho.
I find you comical, though!
And yet you came here just to tell us this on the forum.
Whats wrong, is the other forum so toxic from those “bug fixes” you have to come here to cool off?
If you are referring to a game that is now in EA… Then you have to wait abit longer for it to actually launch Early access is not launch of a game. It’s used to improve and fix things that are needed to be fixed. And this is exactly what GGG has been doing for the first week with two major patches that improved the game alot. Still long way to go to official launch. But everyone can play it then for free.
So NO… this is NOT D4 all over again
Paid Early access is a game launch as far as I’m concerned.
Some next level copium coming of yalls
It’s a non paid Beta actually.
If you weren’t invited you can pay to get in though.
Well, Diablo 4 EA don’t ends yet haha. let’s wait for 20 seasons for a decent quantity and quality content
Plenty of paid Early Access games that have delivered a top quality game at launch. The amount of players that bought Baldur’s gate 3 for 60 dollars on EA was staggering. But then… it was a company and devs everyone knew could be trusted to deliver a high quality game at launch.
Same is with POE2 and GGG. THis is not launch. The game is in EARLY ACCESS and still has only half of the classes it will have on launch. Same goes for the campaign.
THe game still needs alot of work and everyone knows that. But acting like this is a full game launch is just childish. Almost as childish as thinking Blizzard would actually launch any content for 30 dollars and promise to not charge you triple for everything added for later stages.
To further touch on this subject, people such as the OP also probably don’t know PoE 1 also had a buy-in phase for beta back before it launched. It wasn’t called Early Access back then only due to the fact the term wasn’t very widely spread at the time.
Although to say purchasing an EA game signifies the launch of the game is rather ignorant. Early Access is not a launch, it’s quite literally a beta. Companies used to have free betas for their games, now they call it Early Access instead and have the customers pay up front for a future product that is in fact in beta.
Now if people don’t want to pay to get into the early access/beta, that’s perfectly fine. It’ll be free to play in another year, if not later.
Don’t feed the troll
Paid Early access is STILL a game launch as far as I’m concerned.
Every online service game nowadays adds new content. You EXPECT new content to be added.
Gone are the days of paying QA testers for your games. Welcome the new era of paying to be beta testers because consumers are impatient, and companies exploit it.
What other reason is there to release a paid beta other than to cash in early?
It’s actually a free beta that you weren’t invited to, so you will have to pay to get in gud sir.
Its listed on steam for $30. Free eh?
Sure is if you were invited.
What % of players are playing for free? I can give 1 customer a free burger, and charge the other 99. Does that make our burgers price tag free?
Early Access is the official release of the Beta. I consider the official launch of a game to be when it comes out of Beta, but that’s just me personally. If you don’t want to pay for Early Access to help test the game and make it better by giving feedback to the devs, that’s perfectly fine. The game will be free to play later on.
I don’t understand the notion that you think the game has some how launched in the same sense that D4 was launched last year. People know exactly what they’re getting into with the Early Access version of PoE 2 right now, and if they don’t, they’re ignorant and didn’t care to do any research.
