Feedback: UI small tweaks

Hello, after playing all weekend ( a great one ), I have minor feedbacks about the UI
That’s only my opinion and that’s ok, people will probably not agree.

For context I play on pc on an ultrawide and a really good computer.

Since we can swap HUD layout to a console one if we want while staying on mnk, here are some things that would be cool:

  1. Have it swapped to the right of the screen // my best friend is a lefty and for no reason he would like to have it on the right side, maybe just mirror it. Customize hud would be cool !

  2. Disable shortcuts visuals on hud, if I know my spells are 1-2-3-4-5 left/right click, don’t need them to appear. In fact, the shortcuts icons are too big and almost bigger thans the buffs

  3. Buffs icons are unreadable. It’s already pretty washed out, the icons are bland, and the cooldown covering in white add even more visual noise. Too be honest in D3 you can clearly see what buff you have active and how much it will lasts.
    Also too tiny, make them a bit bigger, as I said previously shortcuts icons are almost the same size

  4. Would like to have the hud stuck at the bottom screen ( like D3 ) to not loose visual space

  5. option to scale UI ? smaller / bigger hud, pleases everyone

  6. The font for the loot dropped on screen is ok, readable, but for the items and menus, could be better

  7. Items fonts are not very readable, and to scroll to see everything on an item / piece is not enjoyable.

  8. Movable ui ? Not very important but I like to have characters menu on the left side ( like wow )

  9. UI textures ( like backdrops ) are too high frequency / noisy, feels a bit cheap, the only one that looks actually good is the backdrop from the talent tree, the rest is too much visual noise.
    Maybe some gradient color that fade with the overall UI would be beter ( hard to explain without images )

  10. Material and Stats tab should open stats first and not material. Also, lets us pin it or add an option so it’s always opened by default when we press “C” .

  11. A gem tab would be cool, I know please

  12. For transmog, would like to see all the displayed dye, not scroll through different small pages of 4 dye only

So far that’s what I have on top of my head, happy with the game so far and waiting for next weekend, just would love that the UI would get a bit more love for release to not break the good immersion the game is providing.

This, I think, is by far the most important drawback of the current UI. It looks like the pictures I get when I google “high contrast UI”. I think relatively small tweaks could go a long way here. For example, something needs to be done with the glowing red Profile button and the glowing red visual indicator for what inventory tab is active.

I think a better solution would be to just split them into two buttons.

I agree with your other feedback as well, but most of it is non-essential QoL features imo. One thing I would like to emphasize, in addition to point 2, is the shortcut indicators in the item tooltips, inventory tab, and menus. I don’t think it’s reasonable to display “right-click to equip, shift-click to compare” etc, along with icons, in every item tooltip for every player.
