Feedback: Uber Lilith

Been practicing this fight for about 8 hours. My biggest hurdle are the one shot waves. Ive watched videos and practiced, but my reaction time is just a touch to slow to reliably dodge them. Having more clear indicators on the floor would make this fight more forgiving, and perhaps a .25 second delay on the cast. But it is the hardest boss, so if I cant beat her it is what it is :upside_down_face:.

She should be tuned to give more specs a fair shot at her though. As a bone spear necro the only thing holding me back was skill, I had a friend who was a 100 WW barb who lost all motivation to play once he realized his spec didnt stand a chance.

Edit: also fix the zoom glitch . Having to logout everytine you repair is a pain haha

haha im doing her with a summoner necro. it actually works fine, but halfway through the fight i keep tending to do an oopsie. It is what it is.

But yea, id agree the 1 shot waves could be a bit clearer and slightly slower. not gonna lie, im cheesing those with the blood mist.

The one-shot attacks are way too fast for my old eyes and slow reaction time. I might need to wait for a few more seasons until they get rid of this one-shot mechanic if ever. Same if I cant beat her it is what it is

As a Bone Spear Necro, you have the option to skip her mechanics, but it’s not that easy to pull off. It depends on positioning (put some virtual marks on the arena), consistency of your play (tendril, full health full essence, and exploding the 5th corpse before Lilith jumps down), RNG (shards hitting and lucky hits proc), and gear.

Beating her ethically is commendable since it’s even more difficult.

Ive never gotten the lucky hits to keep my essence flowing unfortunately lol. Thats even with a lucky hit elixer, and lucky hit chance on one ring and my gloves.

While it is not entirely impossible to beat Uber Lilith. I kind of agree that the speed need to be tuned to majority player’s reaction speed. Also dev should note that some players do experience lags and stutter when reacting to mechanics, and they should also note that tgere are players from other region.

Visualy the sfx of attacks is a bit too blend in to environtment, and it is also kind of hard to telltale sign of attacks. But that is just my opinion.

I think it’s better to use Elixir of Resourcefulness. If you don’t have any in stock, try going to Sanctuary Discord channel and offer to buy for 500k each. Might need to wait some time since they are already priced higher than that.

they could reduce the radius of the spike and increasing the circle, im not clostophobic but most of my death came from the wave because i was out of space.

One shot waves are objectively bad game design.

They don’t even make logical sense.

For me boss mechanics are just stupid nonsense that makes the gameplay bad.

Its probably better overall. I do have a few, was just waiting for when im better at the fight before I used them. But I may give it a whirl sometime. Unfortunately tonight is the last night ill get to play pre season :upside_down_face:

If you’ve watched videos you should have noticed that no one is reacting…they know when the mechanics are coming, and that’s why they stand near the edge of the circle facing the outside, so they can just dash across the middle to the other side when they show.

These mechanics really aren’t that difficult for something that is intended to be a pinnacle boss.

Also as a bone spear necro…you should probably do enough damage to not need to even do the mechanics. I’d check on your gear/spec, and re-watch videos.

You can do it.

“Skill checks are bad game design.”

Thank god you’re not a game designer.

I appreciate the enthusiasm. Really I know bone spear well. Im a casualish gamer, but I do understand the buffs and procs I need to line up in order to “nuke” her. My gear isnt perfect but it is good enough to melt her into ad phase in about 15 seconds. My reaction time is slow enough to where i would actually have to dash a split second before the lines show up. And I managed about a 50% dodge rate.

Many times the lines are hard for me to see though, and like I said, my reaction time isnt what it used to be :upside_down_face:. If i try long enough i may get a string of lucky hits and stay full essence to melt her into P2, but after 8 hours of attempts im tapped haha.

I think high movement speed is key.

As a rogue, i play the bottom of the arena and can dash past her wave spawn points to avoid the one shots and timing entirely.

But It doesn’t work for phase 2, which keeps killing me.

For anyone attempting that is a good point. Move speed on your amulet and boots is necessity. I did have that, but not double dash. I feel like being able to dash twice would have saved me quite a few times.

Edit: and yea, I dont think anyone has the ability to dodge them if theyre not baited towards the bottom. My first hour of attempts i was standing whereever and wondering wtf i was supposed to do :joy:

That’s actually pretty par for the course, even for Bone Spear Necros.

Commenting on this for people who haven’t known it already and think that Bone Spear Necros just fly through the fight on their first try. This is also why bringing up Uber Lilith for Bone Spear rebalance isn’t that good of an argument because the average players using Bone Spear won’t relate to it the moment they try it themselves.

I cant beat her, my reactions are to slow at the waves and my dmg is Not enough to kill her fast. So thats Life.

For me it’s game over as soon as the first set of adds spawn. Took me like an hour to get the first set of spikes down without dying but then as soon as the adds spawn I get too hectic and just die on the next spike pattern.
But it’s actually so much fun to learn the fight and tweak my gear and build to get more damage out.

If you’re doing it without any kind of crazy poison imbue stuff, you also 100% need boots with +3 max evade charges on them.

There’s also some neat things you can do with concealment too if you’re having trouble with the red thingies that run at you because Lillith won’t actually cast her pull ability until after you exit the stealth from concealment.

Manages to get a legit kill on her on Xbox, can’t post links here but I posted it on my twitter feed @Makita250
