Small suggestion here, but I found it a little strange the statues that are supposed to be discovered have a glowing red sphere in the palms. Maybe this has something to do with the lore, but I think the animation should be reversed where the statue is grey and dead, but when discovered the red sphere is placed. Could even add an animation where you are sacrificing blood to create the glowing sphere.
The benefit is that they can be better hidden in the environment where you could miss it if you’re not looking. As it stands they’re very easy to spot. I understand this isn’t that big of a deal as we’ll have maps 24 hours after launch, but for the purists it might be a nice touch to help hide them a bit more.
Half the time (realistically only twice) the statues wouldn’t even render until I teleported home and back
I noticed this when following a guide to get them lol.
I hate collectibles like this but my completionist brain forces me to do them.
If its the first one near where you start, it won’t appear till after you have completed the prelude which includes up to going to the main town. Only after that point does it appear.
If its any of the others I’ve not had this issue.
Us color deficient folk (12% of men) can’t see the statues so it really doesn’t matter at all. And the Protonope/Deuternope settings are, well, out of some achemdemic text that doesn’t work for people who are color deficient and not fully color blind.
Having anything that detection is color based is just, well, a sign of a very ignorant person making the decision.
