Feedback on Sorcery Changes in Diablo

Dear Blizzard Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my thoughts as a long-time fan of Diablo, having played since Diablo 2. Unfortunately, for the first time, I find myself considering stepping away from the game due to the ongoing nerfs to sorceries, which have made it increasingly difficult to tackle high-end content.

The changes from Season 7 were particularly disheartening. Turning the Glyph of Conjugations from extending conjuration duration to providing critical chance, while simultaneously limiting Conjuration Mastery to 10 stacks, felt like a significant downgrade. Season 8 brought further frustration with the nerf to Fractured Winterglass along many other nerfs, restricting it to casting only equipped conjurations.

These adjustments have made sorcery feel less rewarding and versatile, and I believe they detract from the enjoyment and strategy that made the class so compelling. I hope you will reconsider these changes and restore some of the depth and viability to sorceries.

Conjuration Mastery was changed is such a awy that it isn’t mandatory for all build options at Sorc disposal, while still pretty good for Conjurarion based builds.

It is also pretty good for leveling with hydras and familiar, because with no gear requirements, solves mana in the leveling phase.

You should experiment with other passives like permafrost, Icy touch, Hoarfrost, glass cannon and Inner flames, next season convulsions is also gonna be a source of damage I think. These provide a lot of multiplicative damage with easy to meet requirements.

In theory the change makes it easier to build a Sorc, we been getting buffed every season.

I think Blizzard has used the Sorc as a compass for balance and that’s why it’s been pretty rare for Sorcs to be broken overpowered.

The most powerful sorc build is Lightning Spear, which greatly benefits from juicing up Conjuration Mastery if that’s a must have for you.
