Feedback on Fortify

I think there are two defensive build possibilities.

  1. If you have enough Barrier generation, you don’t need other sources of healing.
  2. If you haven’t enough Barrier, go with Life per Hit or maybe Life per kill.

I don’t see any situation where the heal from Fortify is any good.
It is far too little to be meaningful in any way.
Fortify could

  • heal much more much faster
  • give meaningful damage reduction
  • overflow and every fortify beyond 100 % could generate barrier.

One idea could be, that you get half of the percentage of fortify as DR, but that would cost you the damage that is done to you (after DR) as fortify.

  • So if you have 10k life and full fortify and you get hit with 5k damage, now you only are getting hit for 2.5k damage to your health or barrier, but you instantly loose 5k fortify.
  • With 10k life, full fortify and barrier and you get hit with 30k damage, you instantly loose all your fortify, but you only loose 15k (10k barrier and 5k life).
  • If you only have 50 % fortify, the DR is only 25 %. With 10k life and you get hit with 10k damage, you loose 7500 life and fortify will be reduced by 10k (5k - 10k). Fortify below 0 is just fortify = 0.

That would be a combination of barrier and DR or more like barrier through DR.
