I just got the Fastblood aspect and applied it to a ring. The description “Blood Orbs reduce your Ultimate cooldown by X seconds” leads me to believe that when I pick up a blood orb it should reduce the cooldown of my Ultimate (in this case Bone Storm) by one second for each one (and I am picking up blood orbs, not health globes, just to be clear).
It does not seem to reduce it at all and I’m wondering if it’s bugged or if I just misunderstand how it works. Thanks in advance for any help.
EDIT: Another thing I noticed is that they don’t seem to proc the effect on Blood Artisan’s Cuirass or the Potent Blood aspect either.
2ND EDIT: I think I’ve figured it out. I’m playing an explosive orb build and the orbs that I thought were Blood Orbs were actually Volatile Blood Drops, so it was a misunderstanding on my part.
I can’t say yes or no but … in maxroll number of cookie-cutter builds that revolved around Ultimate skill cooldown reduction no longer using combo - GV with generation of blood orbs + Fastblood aspect to utilize it for cooldown reduction.
P.S. Using same cookie-cutter built from maxroll I simply rolled “Ultimate skill cooldown reduction” tempering on amulet and both rings and got cooldown reduction on the helm - at about 5-6 iteration of masterworking (and one crit on cooldown) I got ~45% cooldown reduction on Army of Dead - its popping up every 44 second w/o golem aspect and reapers 3second
Thanks for the reply. I’m more curious about the aspect because I can generate a crazy amount of blood orbs, to the point where it would pretty much have permanent uptime.
I’ll have to look into the guides more, maybe one of them explains why they moved away from it, but if its a bug I’d like to let Blizzard know.
