Hellhammer is overrated. Tbh you need to give up to much damage to use it.
A good rare with leg aff will always be better
I’m with ya! I’ve only ran the beast 3 or 4 times due to how long it takes to get Distilled Fear so I’m not surprised that I haven’t gotten it yet, but my impatience with it high haha
I’m not too sure about this. Youre going to lose Strength, Overpower Damage, and Damage while Berserking, but it rolls things that can’t roll on a typical item…The added ranks of Upheaval and the huge damage reduction are what I’m looking at here.
And to compensate for the loss of OP, Str, and DwB, it has a huge chunk of straight damage as well as an even larger boost to damage to burning enemies, which they will all be burning due to the unique ability.
like I said though, I haven’t had a chance to test it since I haven’t found one in season yet, but it just seems to add more than any other two handed mace can
I op/creit for 50-100 mil not using hellhammer and 25-60 mil with hellhammer.
Its a huge difference in damage

Does 50-100mil crits one shot pretty much anything in the game and does dropping to 25-60mil really change anything with respect to the game?
Upheaval is trash. I got a close to perfect Hellhammer colecting dust in the stash.

Seems like overkill either way. Guess this will all depend on whether DMG or defense is needed for the new content. Hellhammer is rather unique with that extra DMG reduction.
Hellhammer is good. If you get lucky enough to get GAs on it you get your upheaval ranks to 30 with other uniques. Wallop ranks are strong as well. You get them up to 60x damage to vulnerable or stunned. It increases the your size & looks like a shotgun blast coming out. Don’t sleep on it.
It is going to make for a good “Summon” build along with Charge, perma-CotA, Ancient’s Echo, Wolves, etc.
Up to 90X. But you need to get GA and triple crit MW wallop.
