I would really wish to know how these will be handled in the future. Its like playing in a cheats infested game.
Right now it feels way too Lax. people give themselfs such a huge advantage in the game. And Blizzard seemingly let them do as they please. In the past Blizz at least tried to handle it by banning those people, like D3 did for some of the exploits ppl used exzessively.
What is the stance here? everything is allowed except duping?
It feels so wrong playing this game knowingly that these things are used w/o any repercussions. If this is the stance going forward, well blizz can keep their leaderboards. Its just a joke then.
Should have been fixed a week after discovered but we are now in the days it takes way more time so might as well just join them and snapshot everything.
This bug and bugs like it should all be handled the same. Fixed ASAP. Not fixed after 3 months or longer.
I dont blame the players at all on this. They made AoZ basically impossible for most builds. They are going to use what is available to use because everyone else is so why do they have to be the good guy?
How do they know this isnt intended as well? ITs not players job to fix the game or know what is and is not an exploit.
thats just giving up, i refuse to do that. i rather play something else, then resort to cheating/exploiting.
And no even if aoz is hard and impossibble thats no excuse to cheat.
no ur wrong if u use a bug that makes ur aspects count as the stronger version by snappshotting and gearswapping, u cant really think thats intended do u? or having aspect buffs w/o having the aspect equipped.
Do you really think players will get banned for doing this? They wont.
WE dont even know 100% for sure if its intended or not. I mean my guess is yes it is not intended but how do we know for sure??
Expecting players not to use this is shortsighted.
Players will rightfully use what is available to succeed.
You may think you are being the good guy and righteous not doing this but its just a mirage. You are not going to earn anything or get rewarded.
In my mind this isnt cheating or an exploit.
Perhaps its in bad taste or poor form or whatever you want to call it but saying its a cheat or exploit is too far.
That being said It should be fixed asap if a bug which is probably is.
Blizzard needs to rollback the exploiters (cheaters or whatever you wanna call it). Banning is also an option if they want to but I’m being nice and a rollback before they started exploiting is fine with me. Is this possible? It’s not impossible but can Blizzard deliver? I doubt it
Just removing them from the leaderboard or just waiting for next week leaderboard is not enough because these exploiters will just keep trying and will be playing the game with a headstart by exploiting. A headstart because of hard work (grinding etc) or legit means is fine.
well if u remember that d3 bug where u could make ur sorc immortal. if u used that for example, ur account got permanetly banned. and its not much different then what its used here.
Exactly this, as long as the game is riddled with exploits there is no reason to play it, I mean it’s not like the content is that great. I am playing Cyberpunk PL right now.
Cyberpunk PL is good and its base game after the PL updates. I played it while I was waiting for S2. Now S2 is over for me (just doing PvP most of the time now), I might go back to Cyberpunk and try the newest update.
yes thats what i think too. but it would be nice to have some answers how this will be handled going forward. i get it, that they have a lot on their plate right now. But this point just doesnt sit right with me at all.
snapshotting was reported in beta. so dont expect bans for people doing it. i dont like it and would like if they fixed it, but at this point blizzard not fixing it basically is them approving it without officially saying so.
really? the game has rules against cheating/exploiting as explained in almost every Tos.
its like using a car while others use their feet in a running match. players can rightfully use everything they can to succeed, right?
Ball lightning is objectively bugged. I bet season end it gets balanced. If this is so and it is bugged then are all BL users exploiting? What is difference? Hard to answer huh.
What about hota barbs with overpower crit doing 15x instead of 1.5x? Are they exploiting?

Whatever isnt fixed by Bliz is fair game. Might be shady and naughty but its not an exploit or cheat.
imo not fixing those is to mask the class flaws of sorc and barbs. everyone is talking about bl or hota and not so much about more then half of the class stuff not working correctly or is underwhelmingly bad compared to everything else. This giving them more time to “fix” em. This is fairly obvious if u look at how plain this bug/intended buff is.
Abusing a mechanic that is explained nowhere, and making stuff work w/o equipping it, or changing 1hand slots to the 2hand value, if u cant see that is not working correctly, well then ur a true lost cause.
yea that is not why he does not want to do it. it obviously offends his sense of fairness, doing the right thing only because you think you will be rewarded is pretty scummy in my opinion, dust has it right, it is an exploit to him so he would rather not use it, all your justifications are not necessary, do you feel attacked because of this? why so defensive? he has his own line he will not cross, yours is obviously different, no problem, move on.
