People saying it’s unfair and it’s dev fault so you can abuse system freely is exactly the same thinks that to steal stuff in a house of someone who failed to close it
Lol OP you’re using too much common sense and being too rational. That won’t fly here
Hmmm sorry should have think about it before. ![]()
Exploit ban is bad, blizzard booo bad company. Is it better ? ![]()
its not really comparable to stealing, because when someone steals stuff, this means someone else loses the item. if someone steals your car, you no longer have a car that you paid for.
its more like, if someone walks by your car and takes a picture, than goes home and builds one.
i just find videogame comparisons to real life usually dont work once you actually apply some logic to them.
chef’s kiss
It’s perfect!
So fake money is fine. I still have mine and you have yours.
In video games it’s the same. If you duplicate items, you loss their value even if i have still mine. It’s inflation concept.
So the car you bought 50k$ worth less because everyone can take a picture and go with it.
I think you are missing the point the OP was trying to make. It isn’t the crime, the theft or the cheating that is it being compared here, it is the moronic mindset these people seem to have.
Yes he miss the point and still lack of understand regarding economy
fake money isnt fine because once the bill is detected someone loses it at the other side of the transaction. none of these comparisons work.
my actual 50k car is worth way less anyway from just being driven, i dont think copying it would make it any more worthless.
no it more like someone that steals your car and brings it back with no gas and it smells like cigarettes. I say ban these fools
I’m just banning myself from this terrible game and moving on. I can’t believe I pre-bought this slimy turd of a game. Go outside and do something more meaningful. For me to waste my time on a game, it has to be really fun and excite me. This game totally sucks and does none of that.
Depends if the claims are true. Because some of those exploits are not really cheating and not intentional.
Like shakogate that was NOT an exploit you were playing the game as intended. Now duping gold by yanking your internet that is an intentional exploit.
People that ran erudu was not an exploit. But people that abused the infinite mob cellar was.
Why cheat in the first place?
Hats off. You won the Internet for today. Sincerely.
I actually had a co-worker attempt to steal a phone speaker thing I had before. She genuinely didn’t understand what my complaint was because it wasn’t locked up.
Yes and no imo. Opening a chest and getting a shako is not exploiting.
Realizing something is wrong, and starting to spam open chests, kinda is exploiting.
It is such a mild form of exploiting, due to being normal gameplay behavior (unlike many exploits) that nobody should ever be banned for it though.
Yeah, very much agreed there.
Every single one of you white knighting Blizzards choice to ban players, needs to take an ethics course.
Out here trying to equate stealing physical items IRL from someone’s house to an exploit in a game with no effect on other players.
At most they should have issued temporary bans and rolled back their characters. The exploit is 100$% on Blizzards.
its pretty clear cut, you agreed to the rules, regardless of circumstances. You break house rules and your out, its very very clear cut. People arguing over it is dumb as…
Some of those exploits were quite extreme.
There comes a point where a slap on the wrist is not enough.
But yeah, some exploits should only result in temporary suspensions.
If I were to ask you for a list of 20 things Blizzard should do to fix the game, make it better, I’m guessing you could at least double that off the top of your head, right?
Now how many of those are they NOT doing, because they had to spend time and effort to patch this exploit out, find all the cheaters, ban them, sift through the appeals, unban any potential false positives, affirm the bans of those who appealed but were truly guilty, etc.?
Let’s assume even 30 people found this before it hit mainstream. What if, and I know this is crazy, but WHAT IF they simply reported it? Chose not to cheat, and did the right thing?
How much less of a hassle would it be?
I’m not saying blizz is some infallible god when it comes to coding. But it’s also equally true that nobody FORCED anyone to exploit this actively.
