The expansion is a buggy mess.
The expansion randomly deactivates, constantly telling you to buy the expansion.
so normally when something goes wrong i go to the main menu and load my character.
1-Try to load my character on ps5, The spiritborn is grayed out, it says i need to buy the expansion.
checked ps4, played a few minutes with the same character, got kicked out, says i need to buy the expansion.
go back to ps5 and im able to play again.
nope, finished a dungeon, go to a town dump some gear and cant teleport back from town, i havent brought the expansion.
ok, closed the game an reloaded.
2- if you teleport to a town outside nahantu, you cant teleport back.
big deal, dont teleport outside nahantu.
closed the game and reloaded.
3-if you happen to arrive by horse/tiger/stuff, it teleports you back to the last map, saying you cant access that area unless you buy the expansion.
closed the game and reloaded.
4-if you check your map progress, it says you cant progress any further until you buy the expansion.
closed the game and reloaded.
NOW.
if you close the game and reload, you randomly dump your quest progress and get right at the start of the quest, no matter how far into it you got, because you hadn’t brought the expansion yet.
So, im level 35 with the shield guy at lv 3 and i’ve been able to arrive to kurast properly,
i lit the braziers and got to nyrele , got to the next town and beat the boss, just getting the first bunch of runes, and then since i got this far and the game literally says you reached a checkpoint, i had the fabulous idea of checking the season quest. sorry, you dont own the expansion, you cant travel back.
go to the main menu and spiritborn is grayed out again.
closed the game and reloaded.
i got regressed to level 30, shield guy is lv 1, and the quest is to talk to the guy that saves you back at the mercenary den.
im at a nearby town, i notice the mercenary den is available and i try to teleport to it to use the door to talk to enu, but the door is grayed out.
you havent brough the expansion.
closed the game and reloaded.
i call my mount and its a horse.
teleport back to a town to change it to one of the mounts i brought and nope, you havent brought the expansion.
so… yeah, gotta say quality testing took a break for the expansion.
do i need to point out that i did brought the expansion?
Same for me. This is a terrible bug. Needs to be super high priority
I’ve been having the same issue. I’m doing across the threshold and teleported to town while fighting Ah Bulan. My expansion unregistered and now I can’t get back to the dungeon or use anything related to Vessel of Hatred.
OMG FIX THIS! Ive had to relog so many times and redo quest because it says i don’t have the expansion…Ive had it since it came out!

Actually I stopped to gain exp at 17 during my class quest (spirit born). At the beginning I thought that it was normal. But after I logout from GAMES app , Ps was saying to purchase the expansion. After I new logout and login I have the way to enter.
But my exp has lost . Over 2 hours of games lost . Terrible l anyone knows how can I recover exp lost ?
Same thing happening here on PS5. Game randomly decides I don’t have the expansion anymore. Logging out and back in seems to fix it temporarily. Happened most recently in a dungeon, my follower just disappeared. No point playing until this bug is fixed!

Yea I’ve just started getting this too, so went and did the Spiritborn quest and now can’t get back to Nahantu
We need a blue post acknowledging this issue.
Yes same thing is happening on XBox series X. If I leave the new area I lose my mercenary AND can’t get back to the new area because it says I don’t own the expansion! Then how am I a level 40+ spiritborne?

Not just Ps5, Xbox series x. I had just finished the Spirit born class quest, when I realized I had been stuck at level 15 for a while. I wasn’t positive, and it let me do the first mercenary quest, but other map related expansion items were blocked for me. After completing one mercenary quest, I should have gained several levels by then, but I was stuck at 15 still. Also not gaining any exp to continue leveling my skill tree. I don’t have everything unlocked yet. I quit, hoping a restart would fix. Nope, I’m locked out of my character. It says I need to buy the expansion… again. This is how my day started. I bought it 3 days ago. I’ve reinstalled 3 times just to get it to see that I owned it the first time. I’m not downloading it again, it’s way too big. It’s not worth playing until they fix it. Especially since you don’t gain any xp while playing a broken game.
Same as me, since I entered for the first time, the expansion appears blocked but I already pre-purchased it and I can’t unlock it, the new hero appears blocked, I play on the x xbox series

I can’t deal with this! I literally can’t finish the campaign because the portals to the bosses won’t activate or it takes me out from the expansion to ask me to buy it and I have to start the act all over again! What a nightmare.
no, it’s not, it’s 12:33 am where i live and there is no patch.
Same on xbox . Log out and back in to reactivate expansion.
