Excluding solo players from PAYED content is terrible decision in franchise advertised as "Play the way you want"

Well, you see – and I’ll break this down super simply for your crayon riddled brain.

Diablo 4 is an item game.

Citadel has the most important item in the game locked behind it.

You cannot access Citadel as a solo player.

You cannot get the most important item in the game as a solo player unless you do what they are forcing you to do.

OR you the new party finder feature that just got added being tested on the PTR.

I can’t. I just can’t. The word is PAID. There are some good points made but I can’t get past that simple misspelling. It’s almost as bad as “rediculous.”

If you’re talking about the temper reset scroll, it’s supposed to drop elsewhere. The key phrase is “supposed to” as I’m sure the drop rates won’t be anywhere close to “generous” but it will be available outside of the citadel.

Yeah, it’s all speculation at this point as to the rarity of the scroll, but if we can use history as an example (because it’s all we have) I’d expect the scroll to be on the same rarity level as uber uniques at launch, i.e,. we’ll be lucky to see 4-5 dropped in the world in a season.

Few seasons back, the most important items were the ubers (or so many thought).
Did the fact that people who group to do rotations have it better, force anyone out of playing solo?
Trading makes obtaining some of the best items easier. Is anyone forced to trade?
Back to the Citadel. Even assuming you can’t get the scroll elswhere. What does it matter if you cannot find the scroll? Who do you compare yourself to, if only thing you care about is to play solo?

It’s exactly the same bs argument as for rotations. Rules are exactly the same for anyone. You’re just too special of a snowflake to pay the same price as others.

You just keep making false equivalencies for some reason. I don’t think you get it.

I’m calling poison control for you right now – you may have ingested too many crayons.

Wow you guys are really a special kind of breed…

Let’s try once more.

Someone who engages in rotas has better chance of getting ubers.
Someone who engages in trade has better chance of getting ubers/mats/whatever.
Someone who engages in citadel has better chance at tempering.

Someone who engages in citadel has more cosmetics.
Someone who engages in Fields of Hatred has more cosmetics.
Someone who engages in Seasons has more cosmetics.

Poor victim, you.

Edit:
One of the cringiest things in this game is all the solo players complaining, how others who don’t play solo, have an unfair advantage over them. SOMEHOW. Without interacting. And that’s coming from me - a solo player (so far).

make a friend or use the party finder that will be included. it is ok to have friends and play video games with them. some might even say it enhances the experience

Having difficulty playing any more than a week each season, because I’m tired of starting over every three months…but I have to say, I welcome a mmo/raid environment. Especially if there’s a group finder. Anything to break up the monotony of finding the exact same gear I used last season.

And thats how i decided to pass the expansion =) , well and Season 5 too .

It is not optional. Will be the best place to get retempering scrolls, it will also have free cosmetics linked to it, which the base game suffers from a dearth of. This is all content that should be available to solo players, especially since we paid for it.

As the OP stated, even other online games are starting to realize the amount of people who want to play this content solo and are accommodating them. I just find it inexplicable why Blizzard decided to force grouping to do paid for content.

Yeah just dont buy the expansion and watch the cut scenes on YT. Nothing in this expansion is worth 40 bucks imo. What they are adding couldve just been a season tbh .

So I assume you are buying the expansion then? Since you are forced and all…

I like you guys, you make me smile.:grinning:

I already bought the expansion. I love Diablo games, and I want them to stay in their wheelhouse of singleplayer focus with occasional co-op, not forced co-op.

There are plenty of games that offer group players that playstyle, there called MMOs. Diablo has never been about forced grouping. It has been about playing how you want and allowing people to play together if they choose, not forcing you too.

Well then the good thing is you arent forced at all. You get to choose.

No you don’t. I’m sorry but you are wrong, as long as it offers rewards it is forced. If it was just something for people to play to test out how good there group is it would be one thing. But it has rewards I paid for.

At the very least Blizzard could offer up something that is solo focused that has the same rewards.

Being antisocial and being a lone wolf are two different things. Antisocial is a psychological condition classified as a mental illness.

Some of you are so obsessed with a silly game. There is nothing forced about it.
