It’s moderated. I’ve been slapped for saying ‘no one cares for your tears’. Then I look at these other troll’s words and wonder how they get away with what garbage they spew.
To be honest, I’ll just use the ignore on these plebs.

Well I can onlyr repeat: I really wish the best for Diablo 4 and everyone’s experience of the game and community.
Best way is to come with valid arguments, and try to be a bit diplomatic. And I/you don’t have to always win a debate/topic , and always stay within code of conduct.
I think many is frustrated that they have to wait ? days more, and they get it out on forums.
You’re still being accused of being my alt forum account.
I canceled my preorder
Im considering it with all of the microtransactions I keep hearing about
I don’t mind seasonal play, it’s not compulsory, they’re not twisting your arm and holding you to ransom over it.
Battle pass- linked to seasons, has cosmetic rewards (yay), premium battle pass- pay to skip a bit ( ok, this is good for those who don’t have a tonne of time and want the rewards).
That’s just how I understand it.
Now, you don’t have to play seasons (omg, another person said it!!! KNIGHTS OF NI ASSEMBLE!!!).
Eternal realm- run your story, grind the gear, smash end game content, grind the grind. Cool right?
Season- roll a level 1 toon, maybe run the story? Or perhaps run straight into a dungeon at lv1-6 and hear “FRESH MEAT”…… new undies anyone? No? Ok.
Season play might not be for everyone, however it DOES provide incentive to 1) try a new class from scratch, 2) provides a break to the endgame grind, 3) does contain cosmetic rewards (Diablo 3 seasons I only participate in if I really like the reward).
Alrighty, here’s the hamster wheel, it’ll be ready on the 6623 for us to spin and run.
First time i was afraid lalala about seasons. I played D1 & D2 excessive but D3 and seasons were just a fairy tale i heared about while i was playing GW2. At one point i played the main story and did rifts till i had awesome gear and than waited for D4.
If my little skrittish brain (i like shinies) got it right, i can create a “Main None Seasonal” char that i like and love and keep and hand over the cosmetic stuff i earn from the seasons to her/him.
I played the first D4 beta from start to end and enjoyed it. I will play my little Sadira Server Slam Lemming rogue till the end. She will be dead (deleted) soon but i had a good time with her.
I guess im conditioned in a good way to play seasons in the future and dont be freightened that i have to start that poor soul mirror over and over again every few months.
A bit OT:
I like the Xbox Controls a lot, i like the fact that i can fight on every map thanks to upscaling enemies. While im playing now i do not think one second about bugs/nerfs. I just play, have fun and adjust my build the way i can have that fun with what i am given.
^--^ Happy Happy Joy Joy ^--^
Is that all its going to be cosmetics? No gear?
Cosmetics yes. Gear, no. If they threw gear in there that was usable in combat they’d cop a flogging over it. Pay walls and such/ p2w etc. Neverwinter does that with its loot boxes, which is dirty.
Personally I prefer transmogs/ cosmetics rewards, pretty up the toons if you want to, ignore it if you don’t like it. Works out to be alright in my books, as it means something for everyone at some point.
Thank you, happy I waited to cancel my preorder so i didnt have to rebuy it. Im not a fan of making you buy cosmetics, but it doesn’t really bother me either. Just wasnt about to get a p2w game
Since when does ESO have a season pass?
They don’t, but your quarterly expansions are accessed in one of two ways. Pay your sub fee or purchase with crowns from the in game store. Your yearly expansions (chapters) are cash purchase only if you want to play them in the current year. Otherwise they become available as part of your sub fee when the next chapter drops.
Because it’s an ARPG
I know I’m joining this overly entertaining conversation way late, but my 2 cents are like this. In an MMO you have way more time invested in a single character to spend time starting over.
I, personally, (and you are allowed to disagree, it’s awesome we have different opinions) love to start over every season at level 1. I just pick a new class and a new build every season to keep it “fresh”. After all, it’s just a game, here to be enjoyed, it isn’t a life style choice and probably isn’t actually a job or source of income for most of us, we need to not take it this seriously.
To make my post be taken more seriously, I’m 51, I have 5 grand kids and I’ve been playing video games since the Apple ][ (1980ish). lol
The MXT’s are 100% optional. 100% cosmetic only.
They even clarified this in last stream. ^.^" if it was gear, they’d be sued for repeated false advertisement, for bait and switch.
Because a good long while ago (several months) forget which dev or whatnot. did say it would be cosmetics only
Give it time. Blizzard said the same with Immortal. Even though Immortal was a joint venture, Blizzard controlled the project and it still came out pay to win.
Just because the current development staff says ‘no pay for power’ doesn’ mean that staff somehow ‘moves to another project’ in 6 months and at Xmas we have the cash shop packed with QOL features that end up giving a advantage to players who buy them.
In no universe does Blizzard keep the cash shop cosmetic only knowing their history of pushing micros transactions across their games.
You will also get a few cosmetics on the free season pass too. 27 awards on the free pass. Some of them are various cosmetic transmogs. 63 more on the paid pass.
You are forgetting the fact that Immortal is a free to play game and D4 is not, I believe that will keep them from going pay 2 win.
Digression:
What is promised now does not mean that it will not change suddenly!
D3 is already a good example. Before the official release, the official auction house was widely acclaimed, and it was also one of the main cores of the game. In the end, it actually made the game harder to drop treasures, and the monsters also deliberately added a berserk mechanism. In the end, the game experience was ruined by their decision-makers full of malice, and the person in charge of the game was changed, and the auction house was actually closed. What about the promise before the release? It’s all just talk!
The best recent example is OW2, demonstrate again!
If it was gear, they weren’t sued for repeating false advertising, bait and switch. Those who think so are just comforting themselves!
Are we a hamsters to do same thing over and over, quarter after quarter. Hopefully D4 seasons are not like D3 seasons and players are not forced to restart to enjoy the new content a season brings because theres no sense of account/character progresion with that system and nothing you accomplish during a season matters at all in the end.
