Not talking about beta. Post launch they nerfed the broken ww scaling that you just described, and people complained that barb is literally unplayable.
And today I’m reading it’s S++ tier.

WW is still best overall, just not as good at pushing
still waiting if any uber good sorc’s out there able to point me in the right direction. i have 8 of the 20 renown paragon points to spend over the im level 74 character level. i think i should be able to handle a mid to almost late game build now

I’m playing a sorc with my own build, I killed like 15 butchers since the beginning and I never died from him once. I’m lvl71 and he is dead in ~5 seconds, I also run T30 (lvl84) dungeons without problem and I have deep trash gear (low sacred mostly useless stats).
The skill tree is so simple, you read it, think for a minute and you will see all the synergies. Or just copy a guide if you have problems, but don’t… hey, seriously.
Btw the sorc is the most played class in the game.
oddly enough thats the build i switched too from my personal arc lash and I am struggling hard. I do no where near the damage he does or even survive like he does so my skill level of play is way less, or i just got into a groove with arc lash.
When i played my own arc lash build, i never died (even went to to toe with a butcher that was level 75) now a spider can squish me it seems (not the big one but a small baby one).

But sorc does struggle with butcher more than all other classes because they rely on cc and he is immune. They cant face tank the same way the other classes can

You probably got into the right play style groove is all and had the right gear for it. Shock skills are good while leveling 1-50 anyway.
Firewall has its own style and techniques to learn. I did firewall in beta and its mostly good placement of the wall and pulling them in with Inferno. Could also be gear and stats issue as well.
I know my Iceshards build is highly gear dependent to make work.

Nah, my build has minimal cc. You have flame shield and ice shield. You have a passive what gives you barrier every time when you use a cooldown. Stack cooldown reduction from the skill tree (there are plenty) and gear, and you are almost invincible. Stun is just a QoL from clearing. You also can stack health and barrier generation what makes you more tanky. Also, there are 2-3 skills what are decreasing your cooldown per hit/attack.
By “tiers” are we talking maxroll?
Or his personal tier list, but all of them are nosense, so just ignore that part like I did

I’ve done tier 80 NM.
I’ve beaten Lilith 100 on phase 1 and trying to pass phase 2
Sorc problem for me:

Intel scales with resistence which doesn’t work at all.

Low armor, above 70 NM u need drop raiment and go full defensive + elixir to not get 1 shot by a white trash mob archer or ballista.

VERY LOW DAMAGE on Bosses: Most of our damage come from cc duration and u stack them. I’m having +25% atk speed bonus when crit with 100% crit chance, i hit like more than 2 ice shard/second (atk spd: 25% aspect, +12% from gloves + 1hand which give 1.2 atkspd) and i do like 100-200k per shard on boss lilith during barrier. I doubt anyone can push at least x20% more than me. Meanwhile, necro can dig 10mil dmg/s (Necromancer vs Uber Lilith - Diablo IV - YouTube proof). Bar and Druid is another level. Rogue same problem with our armor but A LOT MORE SINGLE DPS ON BOSS.
My gears are good, not BIS on all slot but all half 4/4 and half 3/4 with BIS. I can do >2million per shard (1 hit not all shard) on elite (stun raiment, frozen, barrier, chaos meteor immobilize for 2s window which is joke). My total cooldown reduction is ~40%, i dont run prodigy on gears but can sustain above 100% mana 95% of time.

Less build viable on endgame, firewall doesn’t exist at NM65+, lilith firewall = joker.

Build are hard to achieve, like before getting to T4 and get all aspect on gears i was struggling with mana a lot, i dont want to spam 4-5 iceshard then wait.
I’m fine with being squishy as a sorc, all i want is a lot more, i would say like x5 damage on boss now, idk how they do it but its needed to keep up with other classes. Clear trash mob, elite are very easy with frost nova and stack cc.
Buff resistance and armor so we wont get 1 shot by trash archer in NM70+, i never die to an elite but keep dying to range mobs. Avoid Alysum NM at all cost.
My personal suggestion: Please let sorc wear 3 weapon like Rogue, we need more stats on crit, vul damage and aspect. We losing x2 stats compare to rogue (they can wear extra 2H weapon) x4 stats compare to Bar (they can wear extra 2H weapon). That’s easily ~200 Crit Damage, ~150 Vul Damage, ~150 Close Damage …

yes and if you watch any youtube d4 content at all youve probably seen their stuff.
guys like wudijo and raxanteraxx among many others. they have popular youtube channels and were some of the first to reach level 100 in the game. they litterally play and theorycraft all day every day
Dev’s JUST said they are working on high level Resistance issues.

They said it will be fixed on season 2 start so in like 4 months i guess coz its hard to fix. Rip season 1 sorc and necro. There is no sense to play those champs when season starts. For me there is no sens to play season 1. I guess back to poe
