Since Patch 1.1, I’ve attempted 6 events with 4 unable to load new waves. It usually gets stuck around wave 2 or 3 and then no additional monsters spawn with the timer eventually finishing without the mastery completed.
Bumping this, because I’ve also had this issue, just had 3 in a row just now.
I also encounter this over the same time period, primarily during helltides in WT3 and WT4… but those are where I do most of my world events, so if it is completely random it’d still wind up that way for me.
Pretty much always the third stage of a “malignant” pustule three-waves-of-enemies event, and it seems like maybe it correlates with either an enemy kill far from the core of the event, or to killing “third party” enemies that get drawn in during it.
I’ve mostly noticed it with goat-people enemies, but I suspect that is because their spear throwers tend to back away and away more than most – so I’m most likely to klil them far from center, and to draw in unrelated mobs, fighting them.
Had it once yesterday (or the day before?). Other player had started the event. I joined on wave 2. And after wave 2 we ran around the area to find marked enemies.
Do most people doing this happen to be druids running the vacuum heart and not moving? Because this seems to happen to me especially when running grizzly rage to vacuum mobs and standing still
That’s what happened to me, werenado with the ultimate sucking mobs heart, happened 3 times last night, my theory is that they got sucked and died too fast to register the next wave spawn
I wasn’t using any sort of “gather” effect when I hit it. OTOH, I have not encountered it even once on the necro alt I’m running, and that does auto-cast Corpse Tendrils on the regular and suction everything into a pile of damaging ground effects and explosions, so very fast kill.
