Even with full legendaries, wolves need buffs this is bad

No nice way to put it.

I just wasted days assembling nearly perfect pieces with multiple uniques and all the legendaries to buff wolves as high as I can.

Yes including the wilds glyph.

This is not effective in the slightest. These STRONGLY need buffs. This is not even F tier, this is genuinely ridiculous to have a FULL SET of HAND PICKED SPECIFIC LEGENDARIES AND GEAR BONUSES AND UNIQUES AND STILL BE THIS BAD.

I should be utterly demolishing the game with a build this tightly tuned.

Wolves NEED buffs.

I totaly agree, summons of the druid just sucks :frowning:

They need a buff at the low end too. It’s painful to watch them deal absolutely no damage this whole time just hoping that after two legendaries, a unique and a fully leveled glyph they will finally be more effective than your basic skill.

You have ALL of them? The legendary aspect that turns them into werewolves that spread rabies, the legendary that gives access to key passive, the unique that turns them into storm wolves? Those are the ones I can think of. But with all of these equipped it sounds the build would be a mixed bag of talent choices between storm skills and werewolf skills. I have no idea what that paragon board would look like. But yeah, wolves and companions in general seem like an afterthought and aren’t fleshed out at all. They are terrible.

I wanted to use the werewolves pets for their rabies for my poison wolf build but I just can’t. My survivability goes way down, they die to everything, they jump into the sky to do nothing and sometimes bring the enemies with them.

re:

I’m sad to say I replaced them with blood howl and life has been a lot better. I dream of a worl where I don’t need a defensive ability and can just run poison creeper and wolves though.

I had wolves up to +9 in rank and still died to every single elite in nightmare they could not surive a fight seriously their that bad.

The only one the ONLY one I am missing is the storm wolves one.

It’s really unfortunate.

If my pet can cause five digit damage, then I have to thank the designer God.

What 5 digits? How ? My wolves get 2 shot by elites at +9 rank.

If you guys also haven’t noticed poison creeper passive dmg doesn’t even work. Its been like this since the very first open beta.

Not true. It works as intended.
Companion build here lvl 62

Did you get the storm’s companion leggo?

Necromancer’s minions are not in a much better shape. Certain enemy abilities destroy them, even with the damage reduction in gear, aspects, passives, and paragon glyphs.

That’s a huge shame actually, like really really upsetting.

What level are you? I’m 59 right now and using the Icyveins endgame wolf companion build and it’s easy mode right now.

ATM at 78 almost 79 =/

I checked the skills of it and that build seems fine, but that build loadout REQUIRES storm’s companions to work so it’s like really difficult for me to imagine how that’d pan out in Tier 4 nightm, are that I’m pushing

My current werewolf build is SO MUCH MORE powerful than it… like ridiculously so.

I prefer the ravens over the wolves because the wolves are just meat shields. They struggle to kill anything and cannot take hits.

My Necro I just run a blood golem and if it got the passives skellies got it would be able to solo groups itself. Companions are just lackluster.

The ravens are awful in their own right.

Their passive is incredibly weak, and their active is one cast of landslide worth of AoE damage against enemies who don’t move for 6 seconds.

Also the way the skill is structured having to choose between +2 ravens or 3 seconds of vulnerability on the active is just awful. You’re essentially forced to choose between just ignoring the passive completely, by giving up half of its damage, or missing out on the most important debuff in the game for multiplicative damage.

Ravens need to be like the bats are, they’re targetable by mobs but immune to ground AoE. Active should be like the wolf one except the entire flock attacks one target to give it vulnerability.

I just wanted a dedicated summoner druid but they didn’t make it an option in D4 :frowning: It’s what I wanted to play the most when I heard druids were back. In open beta I had a legendary drop that had my wolves change into werewolves. I then respecced into werewolf form to play as a pack. That was fun for what short time I had with it.
