I played WoW for several years. If you think this will be any better, well I got some beach front property to sell you in Oklahoma?
And I will keep sounding off on this until Blizzard reverses course.

Glad I did not buy Voh.
Looks like the game keeps evolving more and more into braindead cookie clicker.
Good bye diablo. You will be remembered.
Or annoying, because now you are forced to go minion or lose a significant portion of power / feature
i wouldnt worry. mercs for sure wont count as minions.
dont you remember the bug where our dear pets were considered as minions? that stuff got fixed rather quick.
S3 was like a fever dream, I vaguely remember something but none of the detailsâŚlol
oooh im not talking about the seneschal even ^^ im talking about our little loot collectors ^^
In D3 people would get voted out of the group because some dweeb did not like your build. I will not be surprised when some of the people who are happy about this co-op only feature start raging on the forum later. âI can not finished the dungeon because the other people keep leaving after 3 hours.â It will be entertaining to watch.
Oh it will happen for sure, itâs a very common problem for any multiplayer game
Nope. No Dark Citadel for me. I will not be forced into multiplayer period. I am 100% solo as is the vast majority of D4 players.
The Dark Citadel can be a âmultiple hours long deeply coordinated activityâ and a âlight fun romp with a few buddiesâ, depending on the playersâ experience and their builds.
How⌠can it be both of these things? Is it just a matter of trying to do it under-leveled and under-geared vs. full meta build with ubers?
âChallenge is a part of the formula for the new [Dark Citadel] modeâ.
But I thought it was a âfun light romp with a few buddiesâ? This is doublespeak.
Blizzard noticed that the players who want to socialize are growing, with this in mind they want to evaluate how to grow systems like Clans in the future.
I would like them to clarify how they came to this seemingly counter-intuitive conclusion when just yesterday they told us 85% of people play solo? Also, since thereâs really no current social systems in the game how did they even collect data on playerâs desire to socialize? Is it just based on people reluctantly grouping up for boss mat rotas because you destroyed the boss mat acquisition rate for S5?
Players are not forced to play the new Dark Citadel, however, itâs a great source for high-end gear and earning cosmetics.
So you donât need to do it unless youâre a player who values high-end gear and free cosmetics - which is⌠practically every player?
Itâs meant to be a challenging experience, but also dependent on group preparedness - this content can either take hours or be a fun steamroll with friends, and everything in between.
So maybe you can pick difficulties or something? Or itâs just a matter of meta builds will blast the hell out of it and everyone else will suffer?
This will inevitably lead to the toxic raid culture we see in MMOs with gear/build checks and what not since no one will want to spend 3+ hours doing this thing when they could do it in 20 minutes instead.
Diablo 4 is a MMO. For simplicity sake, just picture a lfg WoW raid with only 4 people.
This is what it is, nothing more, nothing less.
Is it just to target more people for revenues sake? Yep
Will it work? Prolly
Do I already accept all the flaws D4 has, and still play? Yah
Wait did they say all our items are going to be dropped to item power 540??? So we get to farm all our items over again???
We already know their balancing capabilities are utterly worthless.
But yeah, aiming for (at least) 1 high end build per class is a joke.
Of course. There was never any reality where Blizzard would not do that.
I dont understand that new attitude. Went three season where we got to keep our gear, now we have to regrind new gear every single season. This created a weird experience for a bunch of reasons, but right now, halfway through the season - theres no point in me upgrading any gear since it will be gone.
Blizzards ways are incomprehensible.
They have decided that Seasons cant just be an optional way to play. They need to push you into it.
Canât be because of the battle pass money, since they could easily sell those in Eternal too.
Probably just spite.
I also think itâs spite based on how the pro blizzard bots behave.
