Even more nerfs has been datamined by wowhead for S9 tempering

We keep throwing this term around but it when? The first day Blizzard introduced this? Or when they changed other skills and it started to shine brighter than others?

It’s not busted, it’s just how it works. We took advantage of that because blizzard stinks at how they do things. This is the cycle they created and we deal with. Live service sucks in this respect

do you really believe that? they nerf crap with zero testing and ignore any and all feedback on ptr. blizzard only looks at ‘metrics’ and don’t actually play the game. i put every season up to now as an example that they don’t test properly at all.

You bring up a valid point. What is the purpose of these nerfs. It surely not to stop the sweaty streamers who are clearing Pit 100’s. For everyone else 80’s maybe 85 with only the S Tiers builds which are nerfed to the floor come next season and apparently from the datamine … so is everything else? If the dev’s just wanted a damage squish they should have said so, but nerfing and keeping difficulty?! :expressionless:

they are not just nerfing s tier builds…they are nerf ALL of them. just look at the tempering nerfs as an example. so lame.

I’m opting-out of any reliquary purchases for s9. If it’s that bad, I’ll just uninstall and head back over to D2 or PoE.

Fellows! I fear if these nerfs continue we may all actually have to PLAY THE GAME!!! Curses and cranberries!!! None among us will actually be able to 1 shot the whole screen in half a millisecond anymore!!!

None of us will have the capability to just afk and put one of those bird things that bobs up and down and touches the one key!!! aaaaahhhhhh!!! This is incomprehensible
on an incomphrecievable level1!!1!!!

lol thanks, honestly if S9 turns out to be like Cra&P I could really care less. I just won’t play it won’t spend $$$ that is all. But, if S9 turns out to be quite alright - as in they listen to PTR feedback then I will play it.

I would question if the only way to have fun is to do 10 trillion bazillion million thousand billion damage.

ask blizzard, their T4 bosses only dies within seconds when your build is hitting for multiple billions and trillion of damage. Meaning their boss HP has actually trillion of HP.

SO, if you only doing millions of damage, good luck killing a boss in WT4 , let me go grab some tea while you go at it…

So, they’ll raise the level cap to 70 then but keep Paragon at 300?

It doesn’t have to be one end or the other extreme. You don’t need to kill the boss in 2 seconds and you shouldn’t need 5 minutes to kill it either. Though I will say that really isn’t that much time considering it is a “boss”. The pit bosses and monsters can take quite a few minutes to kill.

But is doing obscene game breaking damage the only way the game is fun?

I agree with you on that for sure…

Now, if you have been playing this game, i assume you have, you either belong in the group of people that delete the boss in seconds, or you are on the other end of the stick die trying …

Balance issue ? sure…

Fix insight ? Not so sure…

5 minute bosses would be fine if there wasn’t so many insane 1 shot mechanics and FX clutter.

No one is for 1 shots. Spending a while on a boss only to be 1 shot makes you not want to do the boss over again. I just did a boss and spent some time to kill it and took some damage but I did not see the big deal. I am fighting a boss in a video game. It’s a boss. It is a lord of hell.

exactly this… 100% this.

But you just described what a lot of players are facing in this game right now. Especially in S8 with forced immunity and instant 1 shots happening consistently everywhere. With little no no visual clarity boom… you are dead… that is max resist and max armor I am talking with some DR as well on top.

So, most people opt into for meta and insta delete the boss to avoid the headache.

Now I say “headache”, not the fun kind…

yup, nothing like seeing those juicy 14 trillion op crits only to watch the boss health not even move at all then spend 12 mins trying to kill it only to get one shot by some BS mechanic that had zero tells. SO FUN!

Die trying? It takes me some time to kill a boss. I have a lot of health/fortify/barrier/resistances dying is possible but very rare.

But does going from deleting a boss in 2 seconds to taking 30 seconds or even a full minute ruin the fun of the game? And does it ruin the fun of your chosen build?

They dealt with(got rid of) 1 shots in the pit I would have assumed they would have dealt with it in the current game.

I don’t mind admitting that I am a meta slave - usually. It is just what I enjoy and my play style. I don’t care what others think of it I find it fun that I can delete bosses in few seconds.

Now, I don’t mind If I have to stick around a bit longer for a fight, but the current rewards, instant 1 shots and forced immunity is just not cutting it for me honestly.

Im gonna say it again - if you spend the effort building your character to a point that you can insta delete a boss. The game should allow that because that is reward for you being able to build it that way. Any not force immunity on you.

They did for the pit … but they double downed on the 1 shots for lair bosses lol.

But pit is really just a gear check and build check.
