Hi, after playing through all of the season content, I thought, lots more materials over on the eternal realm, I’ll go test new builds. Nope, not happening, tempering manuals are very rare drops. I can only guess this must be a bug as they dropped very regularly within a short play time on Seasonal.

Same issue here. I tested for several days and only every few hours, specifically from a whisper chest or helltide chest, I would get one single legendary one. No blues or yellows, almost no legendary ones, nothing from kills, etc. Definitely broken on eternal. In comparison, it essentially rains constant manuals on season, especially early on when you have none. I tried whispers, helltides, NMD, pit, etc. without luck. I even tried going back to WT2/WT3 and no change.

Indeed, but given that it’s on Eternal and not season, it might not see much traction anytime soon. Shame since there’s almost nothing new to Season that isn’t also on eternal, so they shouldn’t have been this different.
Any luck so far? No traction or responses on twitter. Rocking +close damage instead of all the nice golem/summoning damage ones definitely hurts, but I’m missing almost every single other manual on eternal and they won’t carry over from season since they;re by char.

Couple more folks with the issue:
My partner and I both have level 100 characters in the Eternal Realm at WT4 and we’ve grinded for dozens of hours and are still stuck with our legacy gear because we don’t have the recipes to make the new gear work. After watching videos of new characters get to level 100 with tricked out gear in Season 4 in just 8 or 10 hours this is very frustrating. Rough estimate after all that time we’ve still only got 20 or 20 percent of the recipes. So here we are in the endgame and we’re just stuck, unable to continue to gear up.
Indeed, big oversight since this should be the same for all realms, but they forgot to turn on drops for Eternal it seems, at least the same ones. I’ve yet to see a single blue/yellow and the legendaries are extremely rare. I leveled 3 characters (1 to 100, 2 to 70s) on season and they have dozens of manuals thrown at them, even legendary ones, just from helltides. Hopefully eventually they’ll look into it.
And here we are post another patch… and… you guessed it, STILL not fixed!!!. Seriously please blizzard, unless this is intentional, fix temper recipe drops on the Eternal realm :). I’ve bought the expansion, I’m almost completely worn out on season, time to just kick back on my eternal realm char, deleted most to just muck around.
Edit: I’m working on a theory. I believe the tempering drops are tied to the leveling experience. I was only getting legendary temper manuals on a level 100, and only very occasionally. With a new character I’m leveling now, the basic temper manuals are now dropping. Conclusion tells me they haven’t allowed properly for level 100 chars getting temper manuals. On eternal realm.
