Cant speak to the crit damage part, but crit chance is bugged. Despite meeting parameters in description to proc the crit chance increase, it does not reflect in the character sheet at all. I can add up all my other sources of crit chance to corroborate that the 40% bonus is not present.
Unless the bonuses are known to not show up in the character sheet
You did pay into account that its a multiplicative bonus right?
not a sorc expert, just adding it.
Whether its additive or multiplicative wouldnt make a difference since i see no change in my crit chance with it. Unless the boss test dummy is bugged with it.
Entirely possible. I don’t think a single Diablo game has ever had an accurate character sheet and on top of that D4’s tracks piddly little stats and is still missing plenty of them.
Makes it extra difficult to tell if an effect is working as intended.

did you try to monitor it against real encounters? i wouldnt be surprised if the dummy had bugs really.

Yeah it is way too much work to keep track of what works and what doesn’t.
Is my aspect working? Is it only working when i look at it? Is it working in this situation but not this other situation? Is it one of my passives? Is it all of my passives? Is it that cannibal i killed last week?
I don’t even try. I just build what makes sense on paper. Either i succeed or not.

Some bonuses do not appear in the city, this may happen in the test area. Try in the open world.

So i guess it will proc and show up in buff bar, but will not show up in character sheet. Also just realized it specifies fire damage only, so no wonder it doesnt show. Wish they would add conditionals to the stat sheet
Only general Critical Chance will show in the stats panel.
Situational Critical Chance like Fire Critical Chance Esu’s Ferocity provides and Shock Critical Strike Chance from tempering do not show but they work.
