I feel like the devs are trying to make Crackalacking energy a thing. I’d be down with that if theyd make esadoras actually work with the paragon board and glyph that scales this “feature”.
The new Ball lightning could really benefit from the extra damage that it could bring since I’m just littering the ground with it.
…and yes the Sorc has a myriad of issues that need to be addressed from enchantments to proper Int scaling. But this would be a great mid-season “fix” to bringf the sorc up to par with the middle of the Pack FOR NOW.

Actually it needs not much to work really.
F.e.
New Inherent:
Casting Teleport sucks in all crackling Energy. Now scales with Teleport multipliers.
- 12-20% Intelligence
- 0.5 - 2 % damage reduction per Crackling Energy charge
- 5-8 Ranks to Teleport
- 260-500 % Crackling Energy
Upon collecting Crackling Energy, there’s a 15% lucky hit chance to release a lightning nova, dealing xx Lightning Damage, increased by 120% for every 100 Intelligence you have. Damage increase is applied to crackling Energy, too.
And then buff the Key Passive by adding some kind of damage scaling to it.
You deal 35 % more lightning damage to Elites/Bosses.
Your Crackling Energy Damage is increased by 20 % of your total lightning damage.
The rest of the Key Passive stays at it is.

Agreed. The paragon board ceaseless conduit and glyph Charged could help as well with better scaling.
I tried in the Season without Witch Powers. It’s much stronger than Strike of Stormhorn.
Only tried it in Pit 80, perhaps you could clear Pit 90+ with it. Unfortunately I salvaged all Focus I found. So went just with Okuns. Spamming Lightning Ball, run a circle, spamming Ligthing Bolt, run a circle.
And you can’t temper Lightning Nova or Crackling Energy damage on your weapon
