I own Diablo 4 through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with Vessel of Hatred Ultimate Edition and I just got to level 20 in Vessel of Hatred where it just booted me out to the main menu with a “Thank you for playing the free trial of Diablo 4” and is telling me to buy the Expansion and a fresh copy of the game and DLC. This wasn’t an issue before.

Something similar is happening to me. I have gone from owning Diablo IV (not from X-Box Game Pass) starting Season 2 through yesterday (October 7, 2024) and pre-ordering Vessel of Hatred to only owning Diablo IV Trial Version that limits me to level 16 and not being able to use/play Vessel of Hatred.
Edit and clarification: “I have gone from owning Diablo IV…” can say “I have gone from owning X-Box Diablo IV…” instead.
Update: Restarting the X-Box fixed the issue of being limited to level 16 (I feel the game was affected by other X-Box accounts that did not own/subscribe to Diablo IV in a way that was not a problem before today October 8, 2024). I am still unable to access Vessel of Hatred content.
Update: After following the directions in https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/s/9S0LLeJz1P I am able to access Vessel of Hatred content.
I’m getting the same issue. I’m reinstalling the game - hopefully that fixed it. I felt like I was getting gaslighted. I confirmed I paid the $69 for the game June 2023.
I am on PS5 bought the ultimate edition 1 month ago. I am getting same issue, third ti.e today ive relogged in and out and im able to play again but its happening mid questlines sometime causing me to redo sections of dungeons etc.
So annoying… Yes again im Spiritborn too…
