"Error Code 315306 After Update - Unable to Find License"

Hi everyone,

I bought the standard edition of Diablo IV on Steam just yesterday and started playing without any issues. However, after the game prompted me to install a large update, I can no longer access the game. Now, I’m getting an error message that says, “Unable to find a valid license for Diablo IV. (Code 315306).”

I don’t own the new DLC; I only have the standard edition, which I just purchased. I updated the game as requested, and now I’m locked out. Could someone please help me figure out how to resolve this issue?

Turn your machine off and back on again. If it doesn’t work the first time, try again. I’ve heard it taking up to 30, even 40 restarts in some cases

I didn’t delete my license. I bought the game yesterday on Steam, played it, and then got kicked out for an update. After updating, I started seeing this error message about a missing license (Code 315306). Not sure what happened—just followed the update prompt and now I can’t get back into the game.

they mentioned blocking new logins for the maintenance, I’m assuming this is the way they are blocking logins.

I would check for malware or a virus. Somehow, your license got deleted. Probably gonna have to repurchase a license.

People are purposely trolling you, even if you don’t have the DLC no one can play until they bring the servers back up. This error is normal right now, everyone is getting it.

The entire thing is down right now. Ignore the trolls your game will be accessible again once they bring the servers up and finish the work they’re doing.

I am on the West Coast and the internet said the servers went live at 4 pm PDT on October 7th. My purchase was on Steam. Any idea when the servers will come up?

It served and game fixes u get to still play new stuff to point when it releases u just limited if I didn’t buy dlc so don’t worry u still get to play s6 can’t play as spiritborn of course that expansion pack content but once s6 releases I get some new content for free but some r locked out only available for expansion pack holders it can’t verify right now mine the same way and I have the ultimate edition

Something is happening, started downloading a new update. They are probably adding a new boss to the expansion., Blizzard the Lord of Suck. :-p
