Error 700004 fix

Was experiencing this on my Xbox, the fix was deleting local saved games in settings.

Here is a reported fix from a user in the technical support forum for PC

I was finally able to log into my season character on PC. I did the following:

1 - Completely close Battle.net Launcher
2 - Press Windows + R and enter %ProgramData%
3 - Right clicked on the Blizzard Entertainment folder and deleted it
4 - Restarted Battle.net Launcher

Awesome glad to hear that

Worked for me too just now. Hope I didn’t need anything in that folder, the one I looked at was empty.

Pretty sure it will repopulate when you launch the game.

Now there’s a notice on the marque that they’re investigating it.

Worked for me. Also, you don’t need to delete the other folder, just rename it to something else. I just added .old to the end of the name and it generated a new folder when launching Bnet again.

Did not work for me. I can get access to characters on the eternal realm, but not the seasonal realm. I’ve never bought a battle pass.

Didn’t work for me either, deleted and relaunched. I’ve logged out and in, i’ve restarted… this crap is getting old.

Did not work for me, can only log into eternal real only.

I can confirm this did work for me. Thank you so much for sharing.

I needed to delete the Battle.net directory as well, and then it worked. (Note that this causes the launcher to forget where diablo 4 is installed, you’ll need to tell it where it’s installed under the Install button.)

Rename “Battle.net” to “Battle.net OLD”

upon restart it will download new info (about 2MB?)

I tried “Blizzard Entertainment” to “Blizz OLD” first and that was not working for PC
