I just upgraded a weapon and a ring to level 12. When I put 250 Neathirons in to upgrade, I did not get 25% for either one. I got about 15% for each of them. I do not understand why it says I am going to get 5% for all aspects or 25% for 1 aspect and not get what it says I will get. My equipment would be considerably more powerful if I got what it said I would. Can anyone explain why this happens?
my guess, its 25% of the base value before any upgrades, not 25% of the updated value.

I kind of thought it might be the case, but it does not say 5% or 25% of base value of aspects, it says you are getting 5% of all aspects or 25% of one aspect, no matter what level you have the equipment. 5% of 3000 is 150 not 110 or 25% of 35000 is 8750 not 5250. I was kind of guessing that it is base values
Yea it’s base value that’s why on weapons you focus tempers because they have a higher base, when masterworking
Thank You for your answers. I also found out that once you hit armor limits, it does not do any good to increase it. I does much better looking for aspects that decrease damage, like the 20% you get from the Harlequin crest. If I knew all of this, I would have developed my equipment in a different way. Oh well, I now have a reason to start over with different equipment.
