Hello Gentleman,
Im picking the best 2 out of 3 and need some assistance
umbral = restore 2 of your primary resource when you CC enemy
energizing = damaging an elite enemy with a basic skill generates 5 energy
starlight = gain 36 of your primary resource for every 25% of your life that you heal
ive been looking for a better umbral but ive only found one this entire playthrough. all of these seem to be insanely rare.
Anyways, for a TB build what would you choose from best to worst?
Umbral does seem super rare and as a pulv druid have found that anything other than max roll slows things down considerably.
I no longer run resource gen Aspects on my builds.
Consuming Shadows + Barber = 30 energy per kill. You can run Innervation if you’re still having resource issues.
Aspects that boost your attack speed or increase your damage multipliers are better than resource gen.
Pick 1 out of 3. You don’t need 2. (And actually for TB you might not even need any of them)
Umbral is best, but want roll of 3 or 4 for speed farm.
Use the Ravenous one (or whichever one is recharge against VUL) against bosses.
Energizing and Starlight too conditional to be useful.
What aspects are you guys even using. Im coming from sorc which actually has good aspects. The rogue aspects kinda suck
I already have the attack speed aspect on my gloves
Corruption aspect and edgemasters aspect on swords. Blade dancer on crossbow
Im not seeing a ton of useful offensive aspects to place on my rings instead of these
Most of them want you to rotate skills from other trees to get a benefit
Maybe ill add expectant aspect since i realize now that i removed it and didnt put it back
None of the aspects are flashy. Rogues flavour comes from imbuments and traps.
You have your main defensive aspects, the aspect to modify your core skill and the rest is all speed/utility/sustain and a few generic damage modifiers.
I agree, the aspects look a lot less flashy than Sorc.
(But respectfully coming as a Sorc main) Rogue is kind of like trash aspects while Sorc even after 1.1 is still in the dumpster bin as whole class. Besides base Bladedancers to get the spinning blades, you could probably make it very far without optimized aspects. The baseline for the rogue class is just that high. (I personally played with just random codex aspects through 50)
To answer your question directly, I run:
Stolen Vigor on Helm
Disobedience on Amulet
Might on Chest Armor
Corruption on Gloves
Temerity on Pants
Penitent on Boots
TB/Accelerating on Ring 1 or 2H
Ashear’s on 1H
Blademasters on other 1H
Umbral on 2nd Ring

Rogue aspects are at a premium because they actually have decent uniques, which means less room for Aspects.
On my rogue, I run Condemnation, Asheara’s, Temerity, and Penitent.
For survival you have Might, Disobedience, Stolen Vigor, and Umbruos which are very good.
For damage, I run Bladedancer, Accelerating and Potency.
What are you doing to do if you need to squeeze in a Shako and Doombringer?

Uniques are terrible on rogue.
Condemn is good only if you’re a combo point build and Ash is only good if you want to stack lucky hit.
You could argue using the cold boots, which are a general unique not a rogue one. But whether it’s worth it or not depends on how you like to play. I personally prefer the 2 step charges.
You should not even consider using any other uniques on a rogue.
I am definitely putting on a full regalia of unique as soon as I find a second 1H weapon unique. I will see you on the PVP field to prove a point (as long as you show up as a Sorc)
I wouldn’t say uniques are terrible on a rogue. Barbarian, yes, but not rogue.
Condemnation works great with combo points and IAS.
Asheara’s works great with high IAS/procs.
Penitent has good synergy with chill/frozen.
Temerity gives you enough HP/barrier to kill things before they kill you. They are not BiS by any means, but they are perfectly serviceable and a lot easier to find than BiS drops.

Simple:
Walk around wearing only the helm and the sword an no other gear and flex at all the world events by standing there and spamming the “Look” emoji!
