add 5-6 Angels as bosses in the game to counter the current end game bosses, the Angel bosses drops would be Ancient Uniques , wereas current bosses drop mythic uniques. limit ancient uniques to 1-2 at a time you can wear
Introduce an Endgame dungeon progression system, A mapping system, and every so often you unlock Diablo , Baal , Mephisto, these bosses could drop D2 style Torches and Anniulus and or D2 style charms, that are kept in a bag in inventory to get the bonuses from them. Add Timers/leaderboards to this endgame system.
was also thinking about instead of introducing Sets into the game, Introduce CLOAKS, these cloaks contain Godly or Demonic Power, These could be some sort of fun godly stats to make our characters Godly, or if not powers then change the look of our characters to look like gods or demons.
Was just brainstorming ideas for how the end game could look, what do you guys think of the idea, or do you have any end game visions to share?
TBH, when it comes to games like this or MMOs, I don’t think the term “end game” has any meaning. I definitely don’t think it’s ever had any meaning in Diablo games.
path of exile has a mapping atlas endgame system, and it works
Now if they dont want to add a repeatable endgame mapping style progression system, they could do the endgame bosses we currently have simiar to D2/D3 were you run through a memorable zone to get to the bosses rather then just respawning them in an empty dungeon, This endgame worked for D2, and it could work as you would be farming for 3-4 Greater Affixes
But either of these 2 ideas would work for endgame.
My point is not what would “work,” but rather the entire concept of “end game” in the first place. The game never does “end,” it keeps expanding as long as it’s allowed to run. So, you’re always going to be moving from one “end game” point to another. I do not believe the term has any real meaning to it.
