Once you reach T4, the season is essentially done. The Dark Citadel can be easily completed as soon as you enter T4 since it’s tuned around the level of 65 Pit and there’s no hard DPS checks. So it’s basically “log in once a week and do all the bosses for RNG cosmetics”. You can also probably get boosted by a spiritborn.
You can try to push higher tiers of the Pit but you need to spend a lot of time masterworking your gear to do so. Which isn’t fun unless you are a streamer with near-infinite gold and masterworking materials. You’re just pulling the lever on a slot machine for diminishing returns over and over again. It seems like the RNG is also biased against you and will give you only bad affixes 10 times in a row.
Well, yeah. In any season, feel done with my first character pretty quick. Just rolled an alt today and the season felt a lot better because I could choose/engage with everything without needing to do the campaign.
I happen to like the way that the different activities are now a loop and you need to do them all in order to keep advancing.
I have some other issues though so even if I feel differently, I hear ya. Ancestrals are a tad TOO rare for my taste, for starters.
im pretty sure it isnt fun for streamers either, just catched the glimpse of a popular d4 streamer the other day and the guy looked like he’d rather be doing anything else.
