This is basically the whole game, farm mats go to reroll vender, pray for the one roll you’re looking for outta 10,000 useless affixes and get screwed, game is garbage.
Chasing and failing to get marginal improvements after you’ve gotten basically your BiS gear is pretty much endgame for a lot of games.
I thought the endgame was to farm Duriel over and over ad nauseam and not get an Uber unique to drop.
can’t reroll ubers. problem solved.
Agree with this. By “fixing” enchanting, they made it 10 times worse. Now, not only does it suck up your gold (even after the “fix”), but it also wipes out your veiled crystals and forgotten souls. All to see affixes like “shrine buff duration”.
The system stinks. Find a perfect piece of gear, blow through your mats, and end up trashing it. Stupid
40 rerolls on 3 rings for lucky hit chance, didnt even get it once, 5 hours of farming for nothing, honestly this game is just a rage machine everything is frustrating.
While waiting for the Uber Drop you can ride around on a nice flaming horse
it’s a bit more meta than that, you gotta farm to farm duriel.
Still 3298734 times better than D2 and D3 end game.
D2 end game - Do your preferred boss farm that takes 2 mins to get to the boss and kill as every boss is a joke from lvl 50 on. The only one that takes a little longer is Baal since you have to do the 3 or 4 rounds of killing mobs. Teleport, teleport, teleport. Kill boss. Rince repeat is all you do on your D2 farm. Pindle kills. Walk in portal. 4 secs later he is dead. Do it 3489072348 times.
D3 - Farm GRs till your eyes bleed.
Yeah this is the reason I’m quitting season 2 after finishing the season journey. It was fun to play, but I’m not farming helltides/whispers ad nauseum, kill two other bosses for more mats to kill Duriel a few times. I understand that Duriel drops 925 items, has a guaranteed unique drop (at least from what I’ve seen) so there has to be a mechanism to slow the pace to get gear.
But it doesn’t feel good to do a bunch of other content I don’t want to do to do the content I want to do. In D2, you just farmed the mob you wanted to farm. The drop rates were low, but there wasn’t a bunch of steps to get there. I see pros and cons to both ways, but I personally would prefer lower drop rates but easier access to farm the content I want to do.
Honestly, if i get an uber cool. But they are unnecesary and i make my builds without them in mind. Im not going to farm duriel specifically for an uber unique. I will kill him when i have mats and thats it.
Im used to rerolling 100 times i. D3 to get what i need. Its nothing new to me. Besides, if you get everything you need right away then you are done and quit playing. I do however wish they had 3 options instead of 2.
You know what? I think not wanting to do the boring stuff to do the fun stuff is a perfectly legitimate reason to stop playing. I support your choice. It’s also a pretty good year for other games as well, no reason to get stuck on D4.
No issue with the gambling and RNG. The cost is what’s severely out of whack. Added to the fact that they recognized it was an issue and actually made it a lot worse.
The fun in this game comes from finding a good piece of loot. I just trashed a perfect ring today because I can’t afford to keep rolling the key affix it’s missing. That is completely contrary to what they should be looking for in their end game.
How did they make it worse? I have like 90 million gold and that was always my issue last season. Now i just dont have the mats to keep up with my gold. Its honestly exactly like d3 enchanting now. Tons of gold. Not enough mats to keep up.
I had 85 million. Now I have 10…. Becuase I tried to reroll one ring. They made it worse because it drains materials AND gold now.
It did the same last season. Just now it costs like 80% less per reroll after the first. I had a reroll at 25 million last season. Even the hat i. Rerolling which i have done like 15 times is only at about 2 now.
Seriously though, I think loot drops so much while farming the bosses that you are better off just stopping after 10 rolls, store it away, and wait for another ring to drop.
Probably the way to go
Hah… i wish… i am still using an ilvl 600 ring… yeah u heard me… its the only ring i have found with 3 of the 4 stats i use. I cant drop any crit or my build wont work as im already only at 20% base. I cant drop lucky hit because my build depends on it. I use victimize so a high percentage of my damage is vulnerable damage so i cant drop that. And my last stat now needs to be hp because im level 80 and only have 6k hp… lol. I havent even found a ring worth rerolling yet.
