Everyone has their own vision and meaning to what ‘end game’ is.
To me, this game has no end game. Grinding to 100, finishing off achievements and hope to RNG gods that you build the best hero is not end game to me.
The thing is, end game needs to have events and goals for players to keep playing to better their character, WoW is an amazing example when someone hits max level, what’s there to do? There’s plenty to do in WoW end game, that’s why WoW end game is so damn addictive. Need gear? Group up for an instance and gear up for a 10man or 20man raid! I miss those days.
Diablo 4 leaves everything to RNG. You want that unique item? Sure, just grind whatever…
If Diablo 4 has a raid like dungeon where all classes can team of groups of 10, they complete it and the boss has a chance to drop an ancestral gear… at least the player KNOWS that specific boss will drop their gear at 0.5% drop rate or whatever.
Have heroic world bosses, make players farm for heroic crystals from nightmare dungeons. Once a crystal is obtained, players can activate the crystal with other players that has the crystal and that heroic world boss will have a chance to drop the gear as well…
Objectives is what player needs, not leaving it to the player to just randomly run around the world and leaving it to RNG anywhere and everywhere.
