Why are elixir drops so ridiculously bad? Even on WT4, I get countless Weak-grade elixir drops from Helltide chest & random drops from defeated enemies. Seriously, this is something that needs to be addressed pronto. Weak-grade elixirs are utterly USELESS in WT3/WT4 given the fact that monsters are much stronger & as such, random elixir drops should reflect this fact. Still doesn’t change the FACT that elixir drops are broken - especially on WT3/WT4. Weak-grade elixirs have zero place in WT3/WT4 no matter how you look at it Steve. This seriously needs to be addressed. Some elixirs cannot even be crafted & only drop from Helltide chests in case you didn’t know… One example is the Elixir of Cruelty.

To be fair, some elixirs from drops cannot be crafted and are pretty good for pushing content like iron skin and resource.
Some elixirs CANNOT BE CRAFTED Steve… Can you not read? Cruelty, Iron Skin & Resource elixirs CANNOT BE CRAFTED. These are only available from Helltide chests & more often than not, I get Weak-grade versions of these which is ridiculous. Read the post before you post a nonsense reply Steve.
I believe this is still valid.
- The overall drop rate of elixirs has been reduced.
- The 0.5% chance of dropping from any monster has been reduced to 0.02%.
This change was made to reduce stress on players inventory.
This is in part because of altered code utilized for Diablo 4 that continues to limit players stash amount, they reduced the drops entirely. We are likely to see similar changes with season 4 itemization changes.

For your info, I’m not picking up the Weak-grade elixirs when they drop… Elixir drops need to scale with the player’s level. Weak-grade elixirs should not be dropping in WT3/WT4 period. Potent, Strong & Heady elixirs should be random drops in addition to crafting - though that still doesn’t change the FACT that certain elixirs cannot be crafted.

Developer’s Note: We are trying to reduce stress on players’ Consumable Inventory tab. Similar to our changes made for Gems, we hope players will be interacting with Elixirs they purposefully crafted.
This change was implemented at the start of Season 2.
Doesn’t change the fact that the 50x stack limitation needs to be either increased dramatically or removed entirely. My D3 stash has over 1K Gems per stack. That’s for every type of Gem too. Yet for whatever reason, stacks of items like Living Steel are limited to 50x in D4 which is so 1998…

It doesn’t change the fact that elixir drops are broken. Weak-grade elixirs have no business dropping in WT3/WT4 since they are utterly useless next to the difficulty curve of said tiers. Elixir drops should be scaled to character level & should include Potent, Strong & Heady variants. Even then, certain elixirs are exclusive to Helltide chests & cannot be obtained by any other means.
Send in a bug report. You’d have better luck getting their attention in a bug report then you would on a Saturday night in the general discussion they won’t read until Monday assuming it’s within the top 20 posts still.
You can make the argument that non-Sacred items should never drop from WT3 and non-Ancestral items should never drop from WT4. iLvl drops need to be increased across the board for all content, especially Obol vendor, Helltide Chests, Event Rewards, Silent Chests, and Whispering Caches.
i think helltide helm chests are broken because i dont get shako everytime i open one. just because it is my opinion something should happen and i determine it is “broken” because it doesnt, doesnt make that a fact though. still just an opinion. similar to your opinion on elixirs. not broken, just your personal opinion
Dude, elixir drops are BROKEN. Shako drops have zero to do with this conversation so stay on topic. I’ve been playing the game since launch & have yet to get a single shako/uber unique item drop. Elixir drops on the other hand are totally broken & not a matter of opinion. Weak-grade elixirs have no business dropping in WT3/WT4. Potent, Strong & Heady-grade elixirs need to be added as drops period. Said drops should scale with the player level. Same applies to gear drops too.
perhaps you dont understand. it is your opinion weak grade elixirs should not drop in wt3 or wt4. it is your opinion that stronger elixirs such as heady or potent should be the elixir drops. these are opinions. hence why it isnt broken it is your opinion. you could make a suggestion to devs to upgrade the elixir drops in world tiers, but to claim they are broken is just false
Not false. 100% true. Weak-grade elixirs are utterly useless in the higher World Tiers. Anyone with a lick of common sense would agree.
