Echo of Lilith is a terrible boss fight

Having her become immune to damage just so you have to dance across the map like its a platformer is terrible game design.

I bursted her down to 1 HP within 4 seconds of her 2nd phase just to have to play ‘time that dodge perfectly’ like its i-framing on Monster Hunter.

Who designs this?

honestly they need to give her the resilience the wb has so you cant burst her down. the mechanics are quite easy if you learn them. but the point of the fight originally was only people who learned the mechanics would be able to do it

I just dont know what to do to kill her 2nd phase. But she kills me with 1% HP everytime.

I guess I’ll watch a YT video on her.

I actually agree. If you have the damage to essentially one-shot her out of the gate you should be rewarded for it, not punished. I also believe if you can kill her in the middle of all the running around with the platforms being destroyed it should end the fight right there too.

Regardless of when you bring her HP to zero, it should stop the fight at that moment.

You have to run in a giant circle, which also means you need a lot of movement speed, I want to say 150% bare minimum, but higher would be better. Or some kind of immunity if your class has it.

You have to time when that first wave of spikes come up and either dodge, teleport or if sorc pop flame shield. I recomend investing in speed on boots and amulet.

Also if not a sorc put bat aspect on boots. That allows you to teleport fast thru anything with any class. So many classes dont do this and its a life saver in so many ways.

I mean yeah, design wise it’s a terrible fight.

There’s so much wrong with it. The fact that she herself deals almost no damage but a random bullet hell orb can one shot you, the fact that she gets absolutely destroyed in 0.1 seconds but then activates a health cheat to keep her health stuck at 1 while she does mechanics for like 30 seconds, and on and on the list goes.

But I don’t see it as a big deal. The design is awful but the fight is doable, and it’s not a particularly important fight that you would repeat several times like ladder bosses. Would I like to see it better designed? Sure. But It’s not particularly high on my priority list.

My movespeed sucks, and I could honestly tell that was an issue before making this rage thread lmao

its the garbage devs indirectly telling you , no matter how strong you get , you still have to die to our garbage one shot mechanics we came up with in half a day

I never was a fan of stupid gimmicks like Lilith, glad so far they are not adding dumb mechanics like that in other bosses

I’m playing Druid, Lightning Landslide build. I can Kill All Tormented Bosses within seconds.

I get to Lilith, 1st face, no problem, 2nd phase, I’m being auto 1 shotted by… I have NO IDEA. I JUST DIE.

The Wave of fire going from 1 direction to the other, I dodge after that passes and Still Die. At Full health mind you.

Maybe I have to look at some videos about the fight and try to understand the mechanisms of it, but as much as I defend Diablo 4, this is easily Top 3 most terrible fight.

Yeah people can do it, no problem, but what you have to do is absolutely dog bleep.

I honestly don’t know what is worse in terms of game design. Being able to get the hardest bosses in the game down to 1HP in 4seconds, or having to actually do the boss mechanics?
I don’t really like how punishing it is, but forcing players to do boss mechanics is a good thing IMO.

I think the biggest issue is the 1 shots.

Like somebody mentioned, if Lilith had a buffer on damage (which would make sense anyway) that would be better

  • While also taking out the 1 shot mechanics (Especially if you have max resistances at least).

she really doesnt have one shot mechanics anymore tho. i mean, if you get hit by her waves multiple times, then yea you will get one shot with 3-4 stacks. im not saying its a super easy fight, but i think diablo 4 needs content that certain people eventually cant beat. we are a big group of player, and sometimes you hit a skillcap and that should be fine ^^

i mean lets be honest, which awesome game doesnt have a content that some people struggle with?

the fire balls that used to be red? yea they can do that if you messed up a few times in phase 1, and then didnt dodge in phase 2 ^^.

im glad they changed the colouring really. they used to be super difficult to see in my opinion

I can clear T7 with ease, havent tried T8.

If anything I should be considered overgeared.

But my movespeed is a problem, I will save a movespeed ammy in S6 just for her lmao.
